Twice as many hot days, heatwaves predicted for Auckland

The number of hot days in the country's largest city could at least double by 2050, and heatwaves will be longer and more frequent. That's according to research just published by Auckland Council, which found the number of hot nights will also increase. Health and building researchers say prolonged heat harms and even kills people, and at the moment we are not ready for it. Climate change correspondent Kate Newton reports.
