TWIDTB Epiode VI: Catching up with a Lefty

from This Week In Detroit Tigers Baseball · host Joe dexter

This Week in Detroit Tigers Baseball is back with more Detroit Tigers Baseball talk for the week of August 3rd through the ninth! In this edition of This Week in Detroit Tigers Baseball, we chat with former Tigers lefty Mike Maroth. Maroth shares with usPhotobucket how his current rehab is going, and shares some moments about his time in the old english D. You can find what Mike is up to on his website, marothbaseball.com. Mike and I also talk about Alan Trammell, his relationship with former pitching coach Bob Cluck, and how hard it was moving on to St. Louis after being traded in 2007. Thanks so much to Mike for joining us, and as mentioned in the interview, we are in his corner and hope to see him in a Major League uniform in 2010. On the Panel this week is two newbies! Hey, don’t worry though, Sean Heyboer of Trumbull and Michigan and Big Al Beaton of Waynefontes.com hold their own against TWIDTB’s voice of reason, Mr. Greg Eno. Topics this week include Jarrod Washburn, Joel Zumaya, deadline talk, The Cleveland Indian Series, and the Carlos Guillen factor. Thanks to the guys for all of the great insight! In our This Week in Detroit Tigers History segment, we look back to August 10th 1966, when Tigers manager Chuck Dressen passed away during the season. The Tigers would go through three managers in a very short span. A very interesting situation that could have changed the history of Detroit Tigers Baseball if it didnt happen. Finally, we wrap things up by looking at the upcoming schedule and pitching probables for the Orioles and Twins series. Remember, you can always drop us a line about the show through our twitter page, email address, or our voicemail hotline at 231-683-1367. I’d love to hear from you! Enjoy episode six, and have a great rest of the Week.
