Welcome to Antwing, Peeks, Dan and Rob. The Truman brothers of this show, I suppose. The Truman brothers. Rob is dying and I'm old too.

And I'm old. A lot of brothers on this show, huh? You got the Mitchums. You got the Truman's.

You got those three cops. Those three cops, yeah. What about the old brothers from season two, right? The mayor and.

Oh yeah, also a Dougie. Also a Dougie. Remember he would. Yeah, he'd make that sound.

Yeah. No, Rob's not dying. He's never been more alive. I mean, certainly you gave me a lively explanation of the military industrial complex.

Just how far those tendrils reach. Absolutely everywhere. We should put that up on the Patreon only. What are conversation before?

Yeah, our little lead in conversation. Yeah, we could do that. In this way. I think I did catch most of it.

Yeah, I was recording the whole time, Frank. We can activate the loyal listeners. Right. Yeah.

We're sort of Mr. Beasts, aren't we? We're beasties. We're beasties.

We. We go Beast Mode. We got a little online empire going here. Yeah.

Guys, help us go Beast Mode. Help us go Beast Mode. As you know, if you do hear that little run in, I'm addicted to buying stuff on Facebook marketplace. No, so I'm looking at a $1,000 Neve Preampering.

I'm going to close this tab. I got to get out of here. I got to get out of here. Yeah.

Book market. Close it. So part 10, we are now more than, I mean, we already were more than halfway, but now we really are. We're in the single digits.

That's right. We already were, but now we're really in it. Yep. Laura is the one, Rob.

I know. I know. You knew the whole time. Of course.

Once. Once the giant made a little bubble of her. Yeah. Good, good witch style.

Glenda the good witch style. It's true. I was like a glenda the good witch in wilder hearts. I know that's right.

She's been a good witch. She's been an angel. It's been a bit of a devil. She knew a little bit of a devil.

She gets up to it. Yeah. She's mean. I like this sort of framing of her because it suggests that being mean to James is like the purest thing you can do.

Her laughing in his face. Sure. Making him feel stupid because he is. Got James's sweet face.

He's so dumb. Yeah. Yeah, he sure is. That was last week though.

That was two weeks ago. Yes. Yes. Yes.

Yes. Things are a bit more of this world this week. We're really focused on this material plane three dimensions only. Which I got to say, not for me.

No. The real world. Oh, sure. Give me that crazy backwards world.

It's gonna be so drab. I want to go. Yeah. I want to do it backwards.

I want my steps to sound like this. Yeah. I do. Oh, Dan, when you die, do you think you're going to be a little gold ball?

Like it'll be a tall bow. Like a little marble like like when doggy shrix down or like a like a war of hummer ball. Double gold ball. Uh, doggy, are you going to be a, are you a tulpa or are you real?

Mm. Great question. And of course that's reductive because tulpas are real. Tulpas are real.

That's the point. Right. Are you focused enough people's mental energy and meditative energy towards creating a person and you can do it. Okay.

I have a theory. Oh, hit me. That all cousins are tulpas. Now when you say that, Dan, what the hell are you talking about?

They're not like, it's not like siblings or it's like, I know you're like, I know you're so well. Uh huh. And it's not like strangers where you're like, well, you got your own whole thing going on over there. Uh huh.

It's like you're over there. And like, I don't, I'm not sure you'd exist if I like, do you exist when I'm not thinking about you? Yeah. I gotta tell you, that's kind of how I think about most people.

Whoa, really? I mean, you ever like, you know, you, you drive through a town you've never been to or something and everybody, you know, it's hustle and bustle and all these people in the street and whatever. You know, when you drive to another town and it's like a Richard scary drawing. Yeah.

Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. And then, and you're like, what are this?

Everybody just walking around. Did they, were they here yesterday before I got here? Quick Rob's coming. Yeah.

Stop hiding. Rob's coming. Look busy. Yeah.

Look, big man's here. No, my point with cousins also is it's like they're, you know, they're like, you're relative. So it's like, there's enough in common with you that like, genetically genetic, genetic tulpa, right. Genetic, tulpa beautiful name, beautiful name, beautiful turn of phrase.

So, also beautiful turn of phrase. We were talking before we started also about like other Lynch related stuff we can do for the bonus show over a patron that comes like, and we were, you know, we're talking about doing, is it Lynch Oz or Oz Lynch Lynch Oz? Lynch Oz. And we were talking about the Wizard of Oz.

What if we also did a classic brand-o to honor Wally? Oh, like, like on the waterfront or something? Yeah. Or even like, or the motorcycle one, the fucking, is it the wild one or wild ones?

Some like that. Hot ones? Yeah. Isn't it ever been on hot ones?

Hmm. Probably not. No. You know, it's, uh, it's said that Brandon didn't live long enough to be on hot ones.

He would have eaten all the wings in two minutes. So I've been, I've been listening to the David Lynch autobiography, right, which is excellent. And for any Lynch fan, I would recommend it because it's, I like the audio book, I think is especially good because half of each chapter is like, it's a, it's a woman reading the book itself. And the book is, you know, it's comprised of like stories from other people, you know, whatever.

There's this, uh, the bit on Twin Peaks or whatever. First off, everybody, absolutely everyone in David Lynch's life loves him. They're like, he is one of the nicest, sweetest people ever. Like his, uh, even his ex-wives who like, you know, he, uh, during, was it a blue velvet, right?

He was married and he started this affair with Isabella Rosalini, right? And, but he was always very open about it. And like, you know, at first his wife was like, okay, like you could do whatever you want. And we'll just stay married.

But ultimately she was like, I can't do it. And, but, but even with that, she's still like, he still like took care of me and our son and like talked to our son every day. And, uh, you know, they, they had a great relationship and he's still a very close friend to me and all this stuff. He's still the sweetest man I've ever, you know, met in my life.

David Lynch, ethically horny. Ethically horny. That's something to strive for. So that, that scene where he kisses, uh, made Genamic, right?

In the diner. Um, so apparently on set, uh, she, so they did kiss and Meijin said that it was very sweet and, um, she felt extremely honored to be the one to get to kiss him and all of the other girls on set, she says were like jealous and calling her like teachers pet and she like that. That's funny. That one's a little weird because he's like twice all of their age, but yeah, probably at that point he's like 40 or so.

45 ish. But, hey man, but hey, you get the smooth show. I mean, what are you going to do? What are you not going to do that?

It's just, it's just a little key ish. So I, I mean, I just appreciate that, you know, we've talked about it with Lynch and like, uh, you know, tidbit, talk about how much she likes lynching, whatever. It's always nice to hear like real people being quoted as saying like, you know, even though we were all good. It's all good.

Wow. That's just him looking at like a beautiful woman. Yeah. Holy smokes.

So Twin Peaks, part 10, uh, Laura's the, Laura's the one. Yep. We got it. I would say, whoa, she's the one.

Okay. You would say that? Yeah. Me and no one else going.

A lot of, a lot of Richard Horne this week. Uh, real, I mean, it's so over the top how evil he is. It's quite your, but you're still like, Oh, I can't stand it because he's just, he's got a face for it. Yep.

How do they, what a stroke of luck that there's a guy who looks like he could be, uh, what's her name's son, right? And Audrey. Yeah. I was trying to think of, uh, Sherlin Finn, right?

That's her name. Yeah. My way to remember that is I think of the, uh, IRA is political party. Shen Fenn and I work backwards from there.

Mm hmm. Uh, but yeah, he's really, he does look like her and he's just such a shit. He's such a convincing shit. Yeah.

But he is like comically evil. Yeah. In this episode, he goes to his grandmother's house and like, you know, Rob's her, like basically like assaults her, like pizza, Rob. When he goes, and yeah, I'm taking your bag.

Yeah. And he calls her a cunt. Yeah. He calls her like all of his names and, you know, whatever.

Um, yeah, he's just a, he's like, I don't know. He's like, Bob, he's legal. Well, he is half Bob. He is, he's half Bob.

I think, I mean, is he, is he worse than Bob? We don't know. I don't think so. I guess Bob, Bob's birthed in a nuclear explosion.

Yeah. I mean, there's not, not a lot worse than that, but also, you know, Bob, like, he's very hard to kill. No, so hard to kill. He's still alive.

I mean, he's still around, right? Yeah. We were, we, we used to think we were done with him, but he's, we just think we were done with him. He's coming back.

The late, great Bob. Strong guy. Uh, he, yeah. And he just hops from body to body ruining people's lives.

Yeah. Richard stuck in one body, one weasily looking body. So yes, he pays a visit to Miriam Sullivan, who we also have not seen in a while. Right.

We did see her at the double R diner, um, a couple weeks ago. She was, uh, just so, um, how would you describe her bubbly? Bob's Lee, good person leaves behind a generous tip on a teacher's salary. Yes.

And then, right. Shelly and, uh, what's the, uh, the other girl, the other woman that works. There's a name. The German lady, Heidi.

Heidi, of course. Um, laughing like a damn woodchuck, that woman. Yeah. Uh, they agree that next time that she comes in that they should, they should buy her a meal because she's so sweet.

Right. Yeah. On her way out, she witnesses a terrible tragedy. Yes.

She witnesses Richard Moa Kid down where he dies and we watch his golden soul go to heaven. Yes. Remember that part? Yeah.

We see it. We see it. We see it. We see boys soul go to heaven.

That's, it's all going to happen. Which feels very like, um, uh, shit. I was trying to think of like that Christian production company that makes like, uh, like God is for real and all those insane movies or like the, whatever Jim Cavisels doing now. A lot of Jim Cavisel, a lot of, um, Kevin Sorbo films.

All the greats. Yeah. Even Cavisels. Sorbo Cameron.

Wait, what's up? I think, uh, great. Can you hear a couple of those? Kind of that way, eh?

Yeah. It's always weird. Wait, is it Greg Keneer? Well, it's Greg Keneer.

And then it's also, uh, what's his name? Uh, played Lieutenant Dan. Oh yeah, Gary Cineas. Gary Cineas is very much that way.

Yeah. Gary Cineas, uh, God, you play one lieutenant and all the sudden you like addicted to troops. Yeah. Talk about stolen valor, this guy.

Um, so yeah, uh, not, uh, Miriam. She saw Richard hit that kid with his truck. So this episode opens with Richard driving to Miriam's, uh, trailer where she lives. Um, modest, but beautiful backdrop.

Like it honestly, it seems like a nice little life she's got for herself over here. Yeah. I mean, she does have what appears to be an outhouse, which is an ideal. You'd want indoor plumbing for her, but yeah.

Yeah. So yeah, he goes to her trailer and you get the sense he's been haranging her already. Yeah, it does kind of seem that way, right? Um, and she's basically like, get the fuck out of here.

Um, she doesn't say that. She would never. No, but she's like, get out of here. Um, I'm going to call the police.

I already sent them a letter. I told him what you did and I sent them a letter and he's like, when did you send that letter? It's like last Friday or something. Um, also I love the decision to like, when we see, uh, when we're looking at the trailer, he's like standing, I don't know, 20 feet away or something.

Yeah. And he's like digitally reflected in her door. Yes. You know, it's like way too bright.

Uh, um, I liked that a lot. Yeah. It didn't need to be there, but yeah, he's a, so he basically, when he realizes he can't like nip this in the bud in the moment, he gets so mad that he breaks down her door and we had just in like a wide shot exterior. We just hear an altercation and then quiet and then we see she's screaming the whole time.

And then she goes quiet. Yes. And then we see a little flame up here in the, in the window. So what has happened is this.

Oh, he also makes phone call, uh, telling, I don't know if we're, are we supposed to know who it is at that point? Yeah, he does say Chad. He does say Chad. So he calls Chad and he's like, you better get that letter.

Right. Um, also what he's done though, he's lit a candle, like a weird stately candle and a candle dish and, uh, has the gas going. So he's going to go completely. Yes.

Lucents. Lucents. Um, yeah, it's, it's pretty dark. Um, the, the shot from inside too is like, you see the, the gas going and the candle.

So you know, it's going to explode. Uh, you also see Miriam on the ground with like a lot of blood coming out of her head, but you can, yeah, like you can see that she's breathing, which is so. So rough. So rough.

You hate to think about someone in that state. Yeah. That's no good. Um, so that's about it there.

I mean, yes. And smash cut to our first musical guest of the episode. They should have had him play at the bar at the roadhouse. Yeah, they could have like an amateur's night, you know, he's no amateur.

Harry Dean, he's got an album brother. Well, Harry Dean has an album. Oh, you mean Carl Carl on the other hand, he's, he just, you know, Carl Rod. Yeah.

Carl is outside his trailer, singing a song, playing his guitar. And it's interrupted by a coffee mug being thrown through one of the trailer windows from inside to outside. And he was fighting and then we go inside the trailer and it's, what's it, Becky and Steve Steve. Yeah.

And he, his main issue seems to be that she's not making enough money. Right. Um, yeah. He's just got her like pinned to the couch basically.

He's just like standing over her screaming. It's all very unpleasant. We're doing a tour of the worst men in Twin Peaks. Base.

Yeah. I mean, yeah. I do find it kind of interesting, right? Like, um, this episode starts by showing us like these pieces of shit here, right?

And then we go to like Las Vegas also knows Las Vegas. That's what I call it. Right. Um, and we, uh, spend a lot of time with the Mitchum brothers who also are bad guys, but seemingly not as bad.

Yeah. Not as bad as these guys, these other guys, you know, they seem like really just like into the idea like what an outsider's conception of what like a casino owner would be. Sure. Where they just want to be like having a good time.

Yeah. Um, time brothers. A good time brothers. Uh, yes.

And we, when we join them, this is like, this is a real like character moment for the Mitchums because a worse guy, right? Like we're contrasting like these guys just like beating the shit out of women for not doing anything wrong with the opposite, basically. Where opposite? Yeah.

Rodney is, uh, he's, he's going over the security log for the casino. He's, you know, crossing some teas dotting, some eyes. And in walks, Candy, who's one of the three, like casino girls who follow them everywhere. Um, I, I love this Chica.

Yeah. She's crazy. She's great. This is a, uh, this is a candy heavy episode.

And I really, I always think the same thing. I'm watching it and all of the shit like later on too, with like, you know, getting Tom size more up to the office and whatever. Mm hmm. But it's, there's a lot of candy in this episode and it's, I think it's all good.

Yeah. So, I mean, she's, you know, her from anything else. Me neither. You don't know her from Final Fantasy 15.

Uh, the, she plays new, Luna, Frina. Oh, well, I take that. Final Fantasy 15. I do know.

She's also in final, uh, final fantasy 15 colon episode igneous. Uh huh. Uh huh. Uh, so anyway, yeah, she sees a fly, uh, in the apartment, um, in Rodney's apartment.

And she's chasing around first with like just like a red handkerchief. She's going to take it out with a red handkerchief. Um, drops the handkerchief at some point and the fly is sort of like, you know, we see it land on Rodney and he sort of like, swats it away. Then it lands on him again.

She picks up the TV remote and just wacks him across the face as hard as she can. And then immediately is like screaming and crying. Like she didn't know that was going to happen. Yes.

It's so fun. The whole thing that ensues after so funny, Bradley, AKA Jim Belushi comes in, uh, uh, Ronny's brother. Um, and he's just like, he's like, what the, what, what happened? And everyone's just kind of screaming freaking out.

There's a moment where Candy like takes Rodney's face to like look at him and then sees the Kai and screams. Yeah. Uh, it's so funny. Now this whole thing, which I think is like, it's crazy because again, it feels so like perfectly juxtaposed with what just came before it.

Um, and I think goes such a long way in like setting up these characters. Yes. Uh, it was a decision made on the fly because Rodney, the actor plays Rodney, whose name is, do we know that guy? Um, Robert Nipper.

Um, he just had a cut on his face. Oh, unrelated, had a cut on his face. Uh, he had like an accident on set. And so they just like let's incorporate it.

They're like, how do we explain this? Right. Let's just have Candy whack him with a, with a TV remote. That, you know, I know this is like a thing that, you know, it's a common thing.

Like something happens on set and it's like, you know, using it. Yes. Right. Well, like a Lynch seems to do that shit a lot where he's just like picks up these sort of like happy accidents and like works them into the story somehow, even like, um, the in loss highway, the, the shack out in the middle of the desert when they were like, okay, he asked somebody, he's like, so what happens with the shack now?

And they're like, oh, we're just going to like demolish it. And he's like, can we blow it up? And they're like, um, yeah, I guess so. So they like, they set a bunch of charges and they, they film it in slow motion blowing up.

And like, if you watch it, uh, there's like this very strong wind that is coming. So it like it blows up in like, not in like all directions, but mostly in like one direction. Right. And it, I mean, it looks amazing.

But that was just sort of like on the day he's like, let's blow it up and film it. I don't know. Like maybe I could use it. Yeah.

Yeah. It's like, um, with, with this thing here, I think it just speaks to like what it, or like all those things generally guys, but like with this specifically, it speaks to what a good sense they have of like who these characters are going on. Oh, yeah. It's seen too.

Cause it's like, you could, you could just explain it. It could just be like a simple like little gag, prat fall thing where he just like, you know, hits him, he hits himself with a set light on, on, on screen or something. And that's the end of it. But like, now we got this whole dynamic playing out with the two of them and that in the, in the Lynch book, that seems to be like a common thread also.

Is that like everybody who works with them? They're like, he knows exactly what he wants. Like down to, you know, the smallest of detail, um, again, lost highway. The house that Balthazar Getty's family lives in, Gary View, you see and all that.

Uh, he, like he has an idea of what he wants, right? And he's like, this is what I want the house to look like. It has to be, you know, about this size and has to be facing this way. The garage has to be over there.

The living room has to be here. The kitchen has to have like a little eat in area, whatever. So like they didn't build that house. Like that was an existing house.

Yeah. Somebody had to find and the person had to find it. They were like, I looked at 150 houses, but like he, he knows exactly what he wants. And he's just like, no, we'll take the time and find it.

But like that's what it has to look like. Cause that's what's in my head. But I mean, I know like that much about the characters, like these Mitch and brothers and you're like, Oh, well, I can work this in because I know what these guys would do in this situation, whatever. And I know what I want from them.

Right. Presented here. Right. Like, um, yeah, I mean, that's got to be so nice in one sense as like someone working with him.

Oh, yeah. That like, I don't know the most frustrating thing in the world, like, I don't know, just think about like a normal job where it's like the person in charge of you doesn't actually know what they want from you. Yes. They just know the result they need.

Yeah. So basically you have to do their job for them and figure out what you have to do. It's like every, every job. Right.

It's basically that the people at the top don't really, they want to result, but they don't know how to get there. And they're like, I'm tasking you with figuring that part. Yeah. And a lot of times I think like even worse, because that is like, that is what David Lynch does.

I guess as a director is like, I know exactly what I want can't make it make it so. But I think a lot of people also, it's just like, I know vaguely what I want. I know, I know I want the ideal outcome. So tell me what that is.

And then also go figure it out. Yeah. I mean, it would be like, you know, if David Lynch was just like, I just, I wanted to look good. Right.

Yeah. I want this apartment to look weird. It's literally like, it's what I find so, I mean, like guy gets results, so whatever, but it's like what I find so annoying about like Rick Rubin type producers, where they just walk into the room and they can only tell you what they don't like. And then in like the Vegas, most abstract terms describe the sound they want.

Sure. Yeah. R.P. Steve Albeni.

There's a guy who knew what he wanted. It's true. Yeah. So anyway, all this is to say, uh, Candy hits Ronnie in the face with a TV remote.

Yes. And then, oh, what were you going to say? No, go on. And then we go, it's a Dougie after several episodes of trying to get there, uh, finally makes it to a doctor's office.

It feels like every single conversation with Dougie in the room involves like the conversation about Dougie going to the doctor. And he's finally made it there. Um, doctor, the doctor and Jamie E both with different lights in their eyes. Notice that Dougie is suddenly very fit.

Um, Kyle McLachlan, who is like, uh, around, let's see, 62. So 62 now? You know, at the time of this filming, right? Right.

Hang on. Let's see here. He's 65 now. So he was like, uh, it was about, uh, he was late.

He was 58. Yeah. 5859. Uh, look like a fucking stud here.

Yeah, man. He's, he's definitely got like old man muscles, but what? I mean, he's an old man. He's an old man.

Yeah, he's doing great. The traps. I noticed the traps. Yes.

Traps are gigantic. Wow. Guys got traps. He's got abs, but he's not like, he's not like weird and overfit.

You know, he's just like, he looks like an older FBI agent. That's, that's what it looks like. Um, yeah. And Janie, very much knows his ass.

Sploosh. Right. So he's, he's doggy with no shirt on and she is like, uh, blah, blah, boom. Yeah.

I think what she says is she's like, he's definitely lost weight, right? Like in a good way. Um, yeah. So she is, she is smitten with doggy.

Yes. So we got all that. Um, then also, uh, the, the night after Rodney is whacking the face, uh, he himself, this is like a, this is a cool moment because it's like he's reclaiming the remote. Right.

He's, he's owning, yes, he's taking the power back. Uh, they're in the apartment. Candy is like weeping into her hands uncontrollably, just sobbing, saying, can you ever forgive me? You have to imagine that she's been crying for the past, like seven hours or whatever.

Yeah. And the way he is just like, candy, it's okay. I'm okay. Yeah.

It's fine. I don't care. Yeah. It's, it's fine.

The way it is shifted from like him being annoyed that she did that for no good reason to just like fully in like caretaker mode. Totally. I also love the thing later where, um, uh, Bradley is like, if we fire, she's got nowhere to go. Oh my God.

I love it. It's so funny. Um, but anyway, yeah. So that's all happening.

Ronnie puts a TV on and on the news. Uh, we see that Ike, the spike, Steller was arrested when you went out, but he sees it. Um, and they show doggy. He's like, right?

It's like he's the man who was attacked and also stopped him. Right. We see the whole news report that we already saw when it was first took place a couple episodes ago. Yeah.

I did like when, uh, Bradley, well, uh, Rodney is like, Oh, they, uh, look, they caught Ike. I finally stepped on his own dick or whatever they said. Yeah. And then, uh, and then Rodney's like, Oh, remind me to, uh, call off that hit on Ike.

And then Bradley's like, yes. I see a ton of money that way. Um, when they see doggy too, I do like the line where it's like, uh, turns out our Mr. Jones is actually Mr.

Jones. Like this is real name. Can't believe it. Yeah.

Um, so. So back, yeah, then back at the, the Janie Jones residents. Yeah. Um, love James.

Yeah. Janie's, uh, loins are quivering. She's just sitting there watching. Oh, sorry.

Go ahead. She's wearing red shoes, Dan. Right. Shoes.

She is wearing red shoes. Um, and she's sort of like doing that thing where you're like, rub your knees together. She's just like, just like staring at doggy as he eats a piece of cake, like a toddler. He's like, he's got the fork like wrapped in his fist.

You know, he's like prisoner. Yeah. Yeah. And opening his mouth as wide as possible.

He puts it in. Yep. And Janie's like, do you find me attractive? And she's doing like sexy pose.

Yeah. Um, cut to them fucking. Yep. Janie on top obviously because Doug doesn't know what to do.

Right. Were you surprised by this scene, Dan? Did you, uh, when you first saw it, we were like, whoa. I was a little surprised.

It feels, I mean, I guess Dougie and Cooper are kind of technically the same guy. I mean, Dougie is a culta. Nope. He's a tall of Cooper.

Yeah. So that's all above board, I guess. Uh, you're, you're concerned with the ethics of it all. Yes, of course.

I'm Danny E and the E stands for ethics. Um, it's all good. It's all good. It seems like it's all good.

Um, when you say surprise then, what do you mean? Well, only because when, uh, you sounded like you were a little like, uh, shocked, a little, uh, pearl clutchy when, uh, when you said they were having sex. Oh, no, I was just, uh, doing a little performance for, uh, we're recording this for a podcast. Oh, all right.

Nevermind. I'm sorry. Sorry. That was annoying.

That was good. I liked it. Uh, but yeah. Uh, Janie, cowgirl style, uh, intercourse.

She comes so hard. Yes. She is screaming Dougie's name throughout the house, waking up Sonny Jim. Um, he looks, he looks scared.

I mean, yeah. And months never made that sound before. Yeah. Uh, so, and then, you know, Dougie has one of those like big, like stupid fucking grins on his face.

Like, um, I'm an idiot, but I know what feels good. Yeah. Yeah. On the subject of the physicality here, what Con the glock one's doing with his arms.
