Rob, I have just 22 words I'd like to say to you. Oh, okay. Through the darkness of future past, the magician longs to see. One chance out between two worlds, not one, but two worlds.
Fire, walk with me. This is Antoine's. Three weeks. Peaks are recently renamed Twin Peaks Recap Show.
I am joining me as always is Rob Capital R, Capital O, Capital B. Yeah. I am Dan and I under as Dan, how cell phones work. Finally.
Finally, Dan, part 17. We only got one more episode left. We're near the end of our magnificent journey. Was that the alter subtitle of Homeward Bound?
The Homeward Bound? No. Homeward Bound? Wasn't it like the incredible journey?
It's got to be incredible. It's a lot like that. Yeah. It has been somewhat of an incredible journey.
Cooper, of course, being sort of the chance of the group. I think Hawk is shadow probably. And you know Diana Sassy. Oh, well, she's so sassy.
She's just her tulpa is real sassy. Her tulpa is sassy. We don't see much of the real Diana. Or maybe any of the real Diana.
Oh, shit. Is all that we see? Just a dream within a dream? Oh, fuck.
Who's the dreamer? I think it's Cooper. I think it's Cooper's dreamer. He's a dreamer.
He's a dreamer. It's been a dreamer. Yep. Let's pack it up, guys.
Cooper's dreamer. All right. He pops up out of bed. He's Cooper.
He's got to get his ass to Twin Peaks. And that's where everybody this week is converging onto the small Pacific Northwest town of Twin Peaks. Once again, tens of years later, two tens and some change. That's how long it's been.
Yeah. We opened this episode with, well, the last episode we saw our FBI agents shoot. Was that the last one? Maybe the one before?
I got Diane and she disappeared into Topaland. She just poofed away. My favorite Bruce Springsteen song. I'm dying.
I'm dying. I'm dying. I'm dying. I'm dying.
Are you stoked for the Bruce Springsteen bio pick? I hope it's about him now. This is the kind of man. Oh, my stomach's fucking killing me dude.
For all your set ups I've been doing. That would be sick if they just got like Pacino to play Bruce Springsteen now. That's the only way I'd be interested actually. Where are you thinking?
You're not thinking of Bob Dylan. She's a bar. You're not USA. Oh, I love that.
Oh man, imagine the scene where he acts out all of Sherry Darling. He tells that other girl to get out of his car. Are you not thinking of the Bob Dylan bio pick? No, I think I thought there was a Bruce Springsteen bio pick.
Yeah. Well, with with with the. Car me the bear. Car me the bear.
Oh, I guess I didn't know about that. Car me the bear. I forgot about car me. I forgot.
Car me the bear. He's playing Bruce the Springsteen. Let's see. Jeremy Allen White aka Car me the bear has been texting with Bruce Springsteen as he prepares to play the boss in a movie.
That's a headline actor texts musician. That guy will text anyone. He did he had a podcast with Barack Obama. No, well, text anyone.
Bruce did. Yeah, that's why it's no big deal that he's texting Jeremy Allen. Oh, no. Doesn't it all man?
Little bit 90s like it's laying down some wisdom. It's one time I was. No, he's not. He's texting.
He's texting him. He's like, Hey, man, I got an idea for a recipe. Pop tart soup. Break up pop tart.
Put in some some milk thrown the microwave for like 10 seconds. This is one time we were doing live aid and Dan Ackerman. He comes over. He says, Hey boss, you want to do some cocaine?
And I said, yes. What is the cocaine years of Bruce Springsteen? They should get the Dan Ackroyd actor from the John Belushi biopic to be in the Springsteen one too. Wasn't there a John Belushi biopic?
Or was there like an SNL biopic? There was there was a biopic about John Belushi called Wired where the guy the Michael Chickless played fucking John Belushi, the guy from the Shield. I know what Michael Chickless is. The guy from the fantastic four.
Yeah, the thing from the fantastic four. I don't know who who played Ackroyd in that though. It's like a hard one to find. But we should build a cinematic universe around him.
That was the that was the movie where remember when that guy who looks like Robin Williams was like, you should cast me. Oh, no, he wanted them to make a Robin Williams biopic starring him because he looked like Robin Williams. Yes. And then he made like a little bit of him finding out John Belushi died.
Oh, yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.
And he was running attention of the scene. Yeah, he was being more from or couldn't stop doing William style riffs. Oh, John's yet. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
I guess he had a bit of a. Was he dying the snow story? Yeah. So, don't never lunch.
Welcome to Antoine's peaks. So enough about what so last on last week's episode, they announced that Jeremy Allen was texting this week. Well, as you mentioned, things are coming to a head. Some traps have been set and they're about to play out.
That's a fucking trap is asked. Yeah, we open up with our FBI agents here. Look, Gordon right off the bat. He's just like when they when they shot Diane, it was Tammy and Albert who shot Diane, not Gordon.
And Gordon, like he's sitting there and Albert like pours a couple of glasses of wine for everybody. He puts one down for an Gordon and he Gordon's like, he's looking at his gun. And he's like, I couldn't do it, Albert. And then he says, you're going soft in your old age.
And then Gordon replies, now we're an accounts buster. Yes. And especially agent, Tammy Preston, giggled at that. They they they toast to the bureau and then Gordon reveals a secret.
A secret he apologizes to Albert. He's he's kept the secret for 25 years. Yeah. Turns out, turns out, major Briggs.
Yeah. He found out about a little gal we've been talking about quite a bit leading up to this. A little lady we like to call a jow day for Judy. The if you if you must anglicize it with your barbaric tongue.
Anyway, major, very powerful, negative entity. That's what we it's what we learn about here. And that's who all these guys have really been going after this whole time. Yeah.
And the way that Gordon is like, you know, we had a first it was, you know, major Briggs was trying to track down on Judy. And then he disappeared. Phil Jeffries also disappeared while trying to go after Judy. And then Cooper disappeared.
And he says that before Cooper disappeared, he called him and he said, if I disappear, do everything that you can to find me. And then he says, as Gordon is sitting there telling Albert and Tammy, this, he's like, I should have gotten a call from Cooper by now. And ring ring, bitch. Yeah, exactly.
One second later, the phone rings and it's coop. Or well, no, it's not actually coop. It's what the FBI agents at the hospital. He's like, we located Ducky Jones, but he's gone and Gordon's like, start making sense, boy.
Yes. And then Bushnell gets on the phone and he says, hello, is this Gordon Cole? And he says, yes, it is. Who am I speaking with?
This is Bushnell Mullins and Mullins Insurance. Mullins Insurance. They're lucky seven insurance. Yeah, that's what he says.
He's like, I have a message here from Dougie and he looks at this little thing there. And basically, he's like, he's like heading heading to, it's like kind of cryptic, right? He doesn't say he's like heading to Twin Peaks, right? He's like heading to like Sheriff's room ins or something.
And yes, that is what he says. And he said, the time now in Las Vegas is two 53, adding up to 10, the number of completion. And if which two 53s, it's been coming up. It's been coming up.
Also, remember when the FBI agents, they were on the airplane and I think they were leaving North Dakota and then they had to turn around, but there was that moment where Gordon tells Tammy to put her hand out and he does like a weird like counting her fingers kind of thing, but 10 being the number of completion. That's why he busted a nut, right? Yeah. Yeah.
He's like, yeah, it's like eight, nine, 10. Wow. That felt incredible. Hot, dady dog.
So I haven't felt that good since two 53 yesterday. What else we got here? We got a well, of course, our captive cell members here, cellmates. We got James, we got Freddie, we got Chad.
We have NATO, who is the eyeless woman from nowhere. And that is all that we all know that one eyeless woman from nowhere. But they're all down in their cells. And there's that that guy with the leaky face.
I got your face together, man. Weeping wound. Yeah. He just repeats everything everyone says, which is gross and annoying and upsetting every single time every time it's easier.
I feel like it's the worst when he's just abing night or nato or however you say it. Yeah. She's making those like she sounds like a dolphin. I mean, kind of sounds dolphin.
Like I think it sounds a bit monkey like it sounds, especially monkey, like when he does it when he's doing awful, awful stuff. We also get a very satisfying conclusion to the saga of Ben Horn. Yep. Then in the woods all this time, Jerry's been lost.
Oh, excuse me, Jerry, Jerry Horn has been lost. Ben gets a phone call informing him that Rob, I want to demand an apology because I was right. He made it very far. He made it to like, like what?
They say North Dakota or something. South Dakota. Yeah. He's was I, did I argue that with you?
You were like, well, he's on foot. He couldn't have gotten that far. Right. Because he sees we were talking about where the doppelcooper and Richard Horn is going to happen.
So one apology, please. Well, I mean, I have to look into this a little further before I start dealing with apologies. Bad fun. Anyway, he was calling it.
They caught him in Wyoming. Wyoming. That's right. Jack's been whole.
Ben makes arrangements to have picked up. And Mr. Horn, could you please send some clothes? Yeah, Jerry's naked.
Naked. It's all from marijuana. I know. This is a very strong marijuana.
It's had medical shit, man. I'm like, yeah. Did he continue to smoke at this whole time? The only supplies he brought.
Yeah, he's just like, we did this one joint, get him that high for a month. That's scary too. So these are people are they're waking up. They're ending their journeys.
Yep. We got to wrap this up here. Come on. Always like the like the Jerry Horns of the show there like, all right, we got to got to put a bow on this storyline here.
Everybody else is the story line is about to wrap up here. We got to we got to sort our shit out. We got to got to get the matinee crowd cleared out for the main event. So doppelcooper.
He reaches his coordinates. Yes. And it's the it's the spot where the eyeless woman appeared. That's where Andy took his little his little trip had his fireside chat.
It's also fire inside chat. That's where Cooper disappeared. You know, all those years ago. Look, I'm just going to call it what it is, Rob.
It's a frickin' nexus. It's a nexus portal. Yeah, it's got the nexus suits. So he's there.
And when the portal opens, he ends up behind bars. He's in like a little bird cage in the fireman's like big theater that room with like the big screen. Yep. There's a big screen.
There's a big major Briggs head there floating around. Yep. Hey, that's where his head went. On one side of the screen, it's a big old garland.
Yep. And then on the other side, it's him in a bird cage. And the fireman does some sort of magic. And on the screen, first we see the Palmer House.
Yep. Which I'm going to say it feels significant. The Palmer House? Yeah.
I mean, it's not the last time we'll see it in this episode. No, it's not. So they show the Palmer House and then they show the road leading to the sheriff's station. Am I feeling here?
We don't have speculity too much. It kind of feels like it's meant to be like, here's where you thought you were going and here's where you're going now. Right. Well, here's where you thought you were going to the Palmer House?
Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah. Because it seems like he's chasing down a mother child reunion a little bit. Does it not?
Maybe. Honestly, I didn't think about that, but it's totally possible. Who knows? Who fucking knows?
So anyway, the fireman sort of like makes it so that he sent out of that world and back into, let's call it, our world. Yeah. And he's on the road to the sheriff's station. And who does he see?
But Deputy Andy with a big old picnic basket, agent Cooper. Wow. Yeah. I'm holding down.
And of course, the doppelganger hits him with like the hello Andy. Hi, Andy. How are you? Meanwhile, in the holding cells, the eyeless woman, Naito, is freaking out.
Yeah. She knows this bad man is here. Yep. And then we see Andy takes doppelganger in, into the station, Lucy sees him and she's like, agent Cooper.
And he's hi Lucy. And they're, you know, they sort of exchange pleasantries. There's that bit where Sheriff Truman comes out and he's like, I'm Frank's room and I'm Harry's brother. And they're like, all right.
Yeah. I like the like the little ways where they let you know, like tells for him. When is that he doesn't give a shit? Totally.
Not Harry. Yeah. And there's no like concern for Harry, right? This is something we've seen every other human being do.
Right. And like, not for nothing, but I mean. His eyes are black also. Yeah.
He's got big black saucers for eyes. My favorite though is when someone's like, uh, can I get you some coffee? And he says, no thanks. Yeah.
Yeah. And everybody's like, oh, shit. This is not Cooper. Look at this hair on the guy.
Come on. The hair is so funny. I've got a lot of side of how funny they are. Yeah.
Yeah. So while this is all happening also, um, down, down in the holding cells, Chad fine, finally finds it. You know, well, Naito creates a diversion. Everyone's like, what's wrong with that lady?
She has no eyes. I'm just realizing it now. Like she's freaking out. What do we do?
Or a spy and pulls out a key to the holding cells. Somehow we anticipate this very situation. You know that the fuck in the heat was going to come down sooner or later? Yep.
Um, so as he, uh, so that's happening. Andy has, uh, a sort of vision upstairs of like, what's about to happen? He saw it when he was visiting the fireman and he, he realizes that he needs to like, get down and get everyone out of the basement. Yeah.
He, he goes down to, well, first, so he's running, he's going to find Hawk. He's like, I gotta go get home. Oh, right. Right.
So he's running around doing that. Then he goes down into the basement where the holding cells are. That's when Chad breaks out. Chad has a gun and he's pointing at an Andy as he's like walking towards Andy.
Freddie, who's in one of the cells, takes his big green glove hand, punches the door open. And of course that hand has the strength of one pile driver. So it flies open and cracks Chad right in the head and knocks him out cold. It's interesting that, um, it's like, given what happens with, with him, with that boy, we are Freddy with Freddy.
And we can say it. We're going to say it eventually. I mean, as well say it now, he's going to punch Bob into a million pieces. Right.
Crazy that that's all it takes to defeat Bob is like some construction equipment. It's very similar to the ending of Aliens. You just need like a good mech suit. Yeah.
One power up to defeat Evil and Garnet. That's right. The, the other thing I love about this is like, he's a, like, it's a literal Deus Ex machina. Like, yeah, not Deus Ex machina, but like, what would you, I guess that's like, machine of God, but it's like a hand of God quite literally.
I had glory, if you will. I had some hand of God. I heard of God. You got that.
I mean, of course I hit it. I don't know how you want to play it. Yeah. Uh, let's see.
The hand of glory. Glory. Glory. Glory.
Drunker. He's ever been like, so Chad, Chad has a gun facing off with Andy. You got, he got it. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. And with the, the cell, the cell door. Yeah.
Cell door. Almost the most beautiful phrase in the English language. Cell door. Cell door.
Uh, so close, but he gets knocked out. Andy handcuffs him to the, the cell bars. Yep. He's good down there.
I think he's good. Yeah. I think he's good down there. And then meanwhile, upstairs, Lucy at her desk, she gets a phone call from Agent Cooper.
What? The very guy who's in the other room. Now this obviously blows her mind. Lucy doesn't understand cell phones and how they work.
But when Cooper calls, he is just immediately, I mean, he's Cooper. That's, you know, like, he says hello, Lucy with that, that strong sort of, I'm a man of law. I'm an FBI agent. Everything's like a proclamation.
It is. And then she is, uh, she's like, oh my God. Yeah. She's for dad.
She, she buzzes into Sheriff Truman's. Sheriff Truman, there's a phone call for you online one. And she's like, what? Wait, he says, like, take a message and she's like, no, you have to take this.
And he picks up the phone. And then Dan, you boys take a break. What? Really?
That's right. Really? That's a break. We take a break.
We run a break. We will be, we will have been on a break. Yeah. As soon as we're going, dude.
