from Twin Tangents Because Therapy Was Booked · host Anthony Casanova and Nalee Her
This is your sign to text your fave unlicensed therapists. (That’s us). Order in the court — tonight’s menu is justice, with a side of audacity. In Episode 18 of Twin Tangents Court: The Case of the Restaurant Rascals, Anthony and Nalee put dining etiquette on trial as reservations, tipping, and menu modifications turn an ordinary night out into a full-blown legal proceeding. And with the court’s new cross-examination process in full effect, every new piece of evidence adds another layer of mess to the table. First on the docket: The Reservation No-Show. A table for eight is reserved during prime Saturday-night service, but only three people actually arrive. Several guests canceled, others promised they were still coming, and the restaurant ignored its own policy by seating an incomplete party. With valuable tables tied up and an automatic gratuity still added to the check, the court must determine who actually created this mess: the reservation holder, the flaky friends, or the restaurant itself. Next: The Tip Dodger. Six friends enjoy dinner, split the check, and send their portions to one person paying with a card. There's just one problem: somebody conveniently forgets their share of the tip. Then the evidence reveals they've come up short before. Was it an innocent mistake, dissatisfaction with the service, or has this friend quietly been letting everyone else subsidize their tipping habits? Finally: The Menu Substitutor. A restaurant's signature pasta gets completely reconstructed with substitutions, dietary accommodations, and special requests. The kitchen follows every instruction, the diner is warned it'll taste different... and then they don't like it. But when a $24 entrée becomes $38 thanks to undisclosed substitution charges, suddenly the restaurant isn't completely off the hook either. The court must decide when accommodation becomes menu manipulation—and who takes responsibility for the meal that ultimately arrives. Naturally, the episode spirals into restaurant-industry trauma, tipping etiquette, flaky friends, supper clubs versus diners, questionable piercings, surf-and-turf education, and the eternal reminder that sometimes you should just stay home and cook it your damn self. Join us as we cross-examine the evidence and put these restaurant rascals on trial. Who's guilty, who's innocent, and which case would have you reaching for the gavel? 👀 Court is adjourned. Update the reservation. Pay your share of the tip. And if you replace half the damn ingredients... don't complain when it tastes like a different meal. #RestaurantRascals #TwinTangentsCourt #TwinTangentsPodcast #PodcastComedy #RestaurantEtiquette #DiningDrama #TippingEtiquette #FoodProblems #CourtIsInSession #PettyDebates #PodcastLife #BecauseTherapyWasBooked ⚠️ Twin Tangents: Because Therapy Was Booked ⚠️ Unfiltered.
