We are joined today by Janie Desir, author and owner of Teaching Your Baby in Braille. While studying to become a graphic designer, Janie was diagnosed with a progressive eye disease and eventually became legally blind. She shares with us the incredible story of how her experience inspired her to create a children's book in Braille so that she'd be able to read with her son. On today's episode, Janie discusses how she dealt with her diagnosis, her goals in starting Teaching Your Baby in Braille, and what she wishes people understood about disabilities.
