The theory goes that there was a massive UFO cover-up during the time and that a higher up, more secretive government branch knows all about it. This organization, dubbed as Majestic 12 or MJ-12 was allegedly created by President Truman to help manage extraterrestrial investigations while ensuring strict secrecy. Conspiracy theorists believe that they even go so far as to kill anyone that threatens to expose their secrets. But if the group is as top secret as many say, then how do we even know of it’s existence? The first mention of MJ-12 comes from a mysterious manila envelope that was dropped in writer and UFO researcher, Jamie Shandera's mail slot on December of 1984. Inside the envelope was a roll of film that Shandera with his partner Bill Moore developed. They were pictures of several documents, and they formed the basis for the Majestic 12 theory. The Orchard Park Apartment KillerIt was July 27 in1979 and Bob Smith was walking towards Alyse Rankin's apartment wondering where she was. Alyse had asked Bob, who was her co-worker, to pick her up because her car was being repaired. When he approached her apartment door it was already open and When he looked in, saw her naked body lying on the bed with her feet bound and a pillow covering her upper body. He removed the pillow and to his horror saw that Rankin's head was missing. Policed were called in who determined that Rankin had been sexually assaulted before she was killed and decapitated. They studied the carnage and discovered small droplets of blood leading out from the side of the bed. It trailed out of the apartment and into the parking lot where it seemed the head was placed in a vehicle because that’s where the trail ended. Despite a thorough search, Rankin's head was never found. So there were a pair of some of the most secretive and sinister true stories around.
