Two Blind Men

from Open House Church Sermons · host Ben Peletier

A blind man sees people who look like walking trees after Jesus first touches his eyes. His partial sight pictures Peter’s condition: he correctly names Jesus as the Christ, God’s chosen Messiah, but does not yet grasp what that means. Right words are not clear sight. Jesus must die on the cross, and confessing Him as Messiah must reshape daily life, exposing sins a person knowingly refuses to leave. Jesus does not leave either man in the blur; He brings both to clear sight. Bible Reference: Mark 8:22–30 Preacher: Ben Peletier
