#Derry genealogist Keith Wright's relatives were in the Irish Volunteers and the British Army. His ancestor William Holmes, became one of the leaders of the Irish Volunteers in Donegal after the Rising - even though his cousin, the Reverend William Gibson, was at the same time serving as a British army chaplain on the Western Front.
