Two Independents Launch New Party
from Australia News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
Two independent MPs, Zali Steggall and Allegra Spender, have launched Community Strong Australia — a new centrist party aiming to unite voters tired of divisive politics. With a broad platform covering cost of living, climate, healthcare, and social cohesion, the party champions optimism, integrity, and community-first values while preserving their independent voting rights. They’re responding to public frustration with career politicians and seek to counter polarization by offering a moderate alternative. Fellow independent Nicolette Boele has congratulated them but remains undecided on joining, emphasizing her decision will be guided by her constituents. The party plans nationwide community engagement and aims to officially register by October, ready to field Senate candidates. Support the show: Get a discount at https://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
