Two key verses in 1 Cor. 2 showing great difference between Old and New Testament churches

Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    I Corinthians 2   9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.   10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.   In these 2 verses, the apostle Paul shows us a very great difference between the Old and New Testament churches.   The people in the OT were not all given the Holy Spirit.   The people in the NT were given the Holy Spirit.   What difference does that make?   Jesus tells us in the following scripture the work the Holy Spirit does for the individual who is born again.   John 14:16  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.   John 16:13  Howbeit when HE , the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.   I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?   💥💥💥💥💥   * For writings on additional subjects, click here:  Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog
