Two Major Fires Rage Across Nevada | Las Vegas News

Two massive wildfires, the Bug Fire and the Stallion Fire, are raging across Nevada and California, burning over 120,000 acres combined and forcing evacuations as winds push flames toward rural communities. The Bug Fire, now at 88,000 acres and only 15% contained, has closed U.S. 395 overnight, while the Stallion Fire holds steady at 33,000 acres. Both ignited by human activity, they’re being fought by 17 crews and over 700 personnel amid scarce resources and rapidly shifting conditions. Fire managers are prioritizing perimeter containment and protecting homes, urging everyone to stay alert and heed official updates as both fires remain dangerously active.
