Two New Yorkers become Farmapreneurs and support local artisans!

Many city slickers dream of a country home outside of the hustle and bustle of big city life. But not many leave their lives as they know it, to become farmarpreneurs, a titled coined by Josh, the co-founder of Beekman1802. The story of the Beekman Boys is amazing as it represents re-inventing oneself, creating a business, and saving themselves from the possibility of foreclosure after they both lost their jobs within one month of each other in 2008. In order to save the farm, they knew they would have to make it profitable. The media started taking note of their hard work and before they knew it, they become one of the fastest growing lifestyle brands in the country. If that wasn’t exciting enough, a television network launched a reality show about their effort – The Fabulous Beekman Boys which spread the Beekman message of hard work, living seasonally, and neighborly sharing around the globe. Beekman 1802 has proven that a farm can be much bigger than its fences.
