Two Officers Resign After Teen Shooting | St. Louis News

Two St. Louis County cops resigned after firing into a car full of teens during a chaotic July 5th pool party that spilled into a McDonald’s parking lot — sparking a summer-wide concern over unruly teen gatherings and police use of force. Officers say they were overwhelmed by hundreds of people, fireworks, and escalating tensions, but footage is now under review to determine if their actions complied with policy. Two teens were hit with non-life-threatening injuries; a third suffered minor cuts from glass. While no officers were hurt, the incident has ignited public scrutiny — and both officers have stepped down before any official findings are released.
