Two Passing Ships

from Walk With Us Podcast · host Hannah Johnston

In this episode of Walk With Us, I’m opening up about what marriage can look like after kids, the seasons when you feel like two passing ships, and why being intentional about your relationship matters so much - even when life feels nonstop. We’ll talk about motherhood’s village, the reality that sometimes you have to be the village for everyone else, and the struggle to balance getting everything done with actually being present. Through the story of Mary and Martha, we’ll reflect on what it means to slow down, let go of the pressure, and choose presence over perfection. This is a conversation about marriage, motherhood, faith, and finding your way back to each other in the middle of a beautifully messy season of life. 🤍 Chocolate chip cookie recipe: (Makes about 24 small cookies or about 15 big ones) 2 1/4 cups of all purpose flour 1 teaspoon of baking soda 1 teaspoon of salt 2 sticks of softened butter 3/4 cup of white sugar 3/4 cup of brown sugar (dark brown is my preference) 1 teaspoon of vanilla 2 large eggs 2 cups of semi sweet nestle chocolate chips 1 cup chopped pecans (optional - if not using, add one tablespoon of flour) Mix dry ingredients together in a separate bowl (flour, soda, salt) then mix your wet ingredients in a separate bowl (butter, sugars, vanilla, eggs) Combine both together Add in chocolate then nuts Bake at 375 for 9-11 minutes!!!
