Two Stars Shine for Missouri Defense | Missouri Tigers Football News

Missouri’s defense exploded in the first half, shutting out Arkansas-Pine Bluff 40-0, thanks to two unsung heroes: sophomore safety Elijah Dotson and junior linebacker Jeremiah Beasley. Dotson, playing multiple spots and even snagging an interception (later nullified by penalty), showcased his spring versatility as a relentless tackler and open-field disruptor. Beasley, who wasn’t even listed as a starter, led the team with seven tackles — the most by any Tiger — earning top honors for tackling efficiency and a “dominant linebacker” reputation from teammates. Both players exemplify Missouri’s depth and readiness, proving that when key contributors step up in big moments, the whole unit rises — a promising sign for a defense hungry for momentum.
