Ty France Returns as Padres Streak Continues | San Diego Padres News

Ty France is back in the lineup, returning from paternity leave and reclaiming his first base and cleanup spot, sending Mason McCoy down to Triple-A. While France was out, Luis Campusano stepped into the cleanup role and delivered with hits and an RBI, showcasing his solid OPS. With France back, the Padres’ lineup reshuffles: Cronenworth moves to second, Tatis Jr. to right, Harris to left batting second, and Freddy Fermin catching and batting ninth. The team’s seven-game win streak continues as they head to Colorado to face a struggling Rockies team on a seven-game losing streak. In the opener, Casey Mize faces Tomoyuki Sugano — Mize has mixed results but past success at Coors, while Sugano’s high home run rate contrasts with his solid home ERA and strong recent performances against the Padres.
