Тыва тайга кызы

from Polar Times Hosted by APECS

Welcome back to Polar Times! This week Jack is joined by Tayana Arakchaa, a cultural anthropologist and postdoctoral fellow at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, currently working on the importance of Antarctic krill to food security in the former Soviet Union. As well as discussing her current research we chat all about the understudied nomadic indigenous groups of the Tyva Republic in Siberia (where Tayana originally hails from, "Тыва тайга кызы" meaning "Daughter of the Tuvan taiga"), particularly the human-animal relations among Tozhu reindeer hunter-herders from the north of the province. Tayana tells us all about her experiences of riding reindeer through the taiga forests of Siberia with the Tozhu! This is not one to miss! As usual, if you would like to get in contact with Polar Times to recommend a guest, volunteer to be a guest, give us some feedback or just ask a question then you can email us ([email protected]) or tweet APECS @Polar_Research any time- we would love to hear from you. The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene (Full Audiobook) Robert Greene Amoral, cunning, ruthless, and instructive, this multi-million-copy New York Times bestseller is the definitive manual for anyone interested in gaining, observing, or defending against ultimate control – from the author of The Laws of Human Nature. In the book that People magazine proclaimed “beguiling” and “fascinating,” Robert Greene and Joost Elffers have distilled three thousand years of the history of power into 48 essential laws by drawing from the philosophies of Machiavelli, Sun Tzu, and Carl Von Clausewitz and also from the lives of figures ranging from Henry Kissinger to P.T. Barnum. Some laws teach the need for prudence (“Law 1: Never Outshine the Master”), others teach the value of confidence (“Law 28: Enter Action with Boldness”), and many recommend absolute self-preservation (“Law 15: Crush Your Enemy Totally”). Every law, though, has one thing in common: an interest in t Patti Talks Too Much Patti Hi. I'm Patti and it's been said - many times - that I talk too much. I'm a teacher, author, nature lover and for ten years I owned a coffeehouse cafe where my faith in the goodness of humans was restored every day. This podcast highlights the awesomeness of humanity - er...outside the warmongers, globalists, tyrants and politicians in general. You know, the rest of us weird, quirky and sometimes hilarious humans. We'll talk woo, probe mysteries and leave you thinking about something more interesting or entertaining or uplifting than your grocery list, or boss or that oil change your car needs. I talk too much because I can't help my Gemini moon and Leo Rising nature. I do a podcast because it's cheaper, funnier and more productive than therapy. My Messy, Human Life Sheena Grund A new adventure of being alive in this messy, difficult, and beautiful human life... topics to be discussed at different times: life, unlearning, disability, faith, love, Spirit... really all the things! It'll be messy (as in all over the place), but that literally in the title of the podcast, so hopefully it's not a surprise! Also, life is unpredictable and beautiful, which I hope this podcast will be, too. Who Am I? Air Kraehmer Best known for her award-winning books about therapy, spirituality and her testimony of overcoming human trafficking, Air shares her walk of life with survivors all over the world. This podcast is dedicated to help you discover who you are through dark, happy and elevating times.
