U in the Ring: Dec 6 mental health pilot project, a spoken word contest, and community cabbage

This week Hugo talks to Dr. Marilyn Thorpe about a pilot project to help students with mental health issues. The Psychiatrist-led interdisciplinary team or PIT project began in 2013. It sets students up with a 30 minute assessment with a family doctor and a psychiatrist in an effort to help reduce the wait times for full psychiatric appointments.John Threlfal is in-studio to talk about UVic’s Diversity Writing Contest and UVic's Diversity Spoken Word Contest.Our reporter Miyoko is back with a feature on Community Cabbage.
