U.S. Air Force Arms Space for First Time | Las Vegas News

The U.S. Air Force has confirmed deploying weapons in space, with Secretary Troy Meink revealing “on-orbit space control weapons” poised to respond to any adversary overstepping bounds. While details remain hush-hush, this marks a major escalation following Russia’s 2024 anti-satellite developments — which the White House previously downplayed. Meink also forecasts a dramatic shift in warfare by 2032, with autonomous drones replacing traditional artillery as frontline strike assets. With the Space Force only established in 2019, this move signals a bold new era of military strategy, pushing defense into orbit to stay ahead in an increasingly volatile global arena.
