U.S. Strikes Iranian Oil Tankers | Spokane News

U.S. and Iranian forces clashed over oil tankers near Iran’s Kharg Island, with the U.S. striking three Iranian vessels after Iran launched missiles at two U.S. Navy ships — triggering a tit-for-tat escalation where every two Iranian targets could mean three U.S. strikes. The IRGC vowed more attacks and warned any unauthorized vessels would be hit, while one struck tanker was evacuated without casualties. This follows a week of rising tensions, soaring oil prices, and ongoing U.S. sanctions — all threatening global energy stability as the U.S. naval blockade continues to squeeze Iran’s economy.
