U.S. Use of HFOs and HCFOs Expected to More Than Double by 2030, Warns EIA

Consumption of hydrofluoroolefins (HFOs) and hydrochlorofluoroolefins (HCFOs) in the U.S. is projected to more than double by 2030, reaching approximately 106,000 metric tons – up from around 40,000 metric tons in 2021 – according to a new report from the Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA).The report – “Persistent Problems” – raises concerns about the environmental and health impacts of these chemicals, which are often marketed as climate-friendly alternatives to HFCs and HCFCs. Read the full story on NaturalRefrigerants.com
