She grew up in the to "Jim Crow" era to become the first Black Woman to Chair The King County Republican Committee in Washington, pioneered curb-side recycling in Seattle, was on multiple White House Committees for Small Business, and even wrote the Federal Environmental Protection Laws for Nigeria.
