UAW United: From Reform to a Battle-Tested Culture of Retaliation.

from UAW The Monitor Files · host Union informed

Dave Green’s Region 2B was supposed to represent reform. Instead, the UAW Monitor found a pattern of political pressure, staff being tracked for who they supported, threats of “consequences,” and workers fearing transfers, bad assignments, or retaliation for backing the wrong candidate. The Monitor found Green’s supposed demand for “neutrality” was anything but neutral: supporters of his campaign were treated differently, while opposition support was discouraged. The result was serious enough for the Monitor to find election-rule violations and issue an immediate cease-and-desist order.Reform was the promise. Retaliation is what the Monitor documented.
