Welcome, everyone, to the first inaugural episode of what we call it, UCM, Jack. And this is going to be a podcast in which we will review and comment on and analyze critically. Yes, good word. Every single episode of probably one of the more magnificent series efforts to be put on top of our time.

Yeah, absolutely. Yes, and that being Jack. And we kind of took inspiration from a podcast called Dorktrack, which reviews every Star Trek episode there ever was. And they're currently on Deep Space Nine somewhere.

But their format kind of inspired us. And we kind of figured, hey, we could pull kind of the same thing off with something like JAG. And a quick search of the internet, we are currently the world's only podcast. That's covering JAG, right?

How awesome is that? That is extremely awesome, I think. Geez, or paving new ground. Paving new ground.

Yes. I mean, who could ask for anything more, really? And it's probably long awaited. There's probably audience out there that's always wanted.

You know, there is. Some kind of, where is JAG? Whatever happened to it? I've been talking to a bunch of folks that worked Josh about this because I'm so excited about Star Man trying to get everybody on board and pardon the pun.

And not one of them has actually ever watched the show. Well. But I look forward to them coming on and sharing their insights with us. They're willing to give it a try.

That's where you start. Well, that's good. And I'm not sure I believe they never watched the show. Some people might not want to admit openly their love for this series, this long, long, long series.

They ran from about 10 years from 95 to 2005. But anyway. We should tell our audience, too, talking about the series, that if you haven't seen it, we encourage you to watch it. Watch along with us.

And we're going to watch it. And they can watch it. Thanks for bringing it up. Amazon Fire, if you have the Fire Stick, you can download it that way.

I guess it's Stream It, I suppose. But it's got all 10 years of the series. So go through it. We're starting your lucky Echotas on the first episode.

So you can watch all 10 years with us. Yes, all 10 years. And if you don't have Amazon, there is the option of Box Set. It is amazing.

And with the Box Set, you get all these additional extras. I mean, we just got the collector's edition here. It comes with a hidden coin. Folks, if you bought it and you saw it, it's got a coin on the box.

And you can't find the damn coin anywhere. It's right behind the logo there on the box, the little magnetic guy. Yeah, I'm sure we're probably the only people that will ever discover that. But it is a cool Box Set.

Yeah, it's awesome. It's awesome. Awesome. So a little bit about your host before we get going on episode one, the pilot episode.

I'm Josh. I'm Sarah. And we have a little bit of military experience between us. And we're just going to leave it at that at this point.

And I'm sure our history and our personalities will come out a little more as we go through this episode and the future episodes. So with that, I'd say we can go ahead and begin here. And this is the first episode, September 23, 1995. And it is just called Pilot.

There's no real name for it. It's just the pilot episode. And give me a second here. I'm going to summarize it as Amazon Prime summarized it as a female pilot dies under suspicious circumstances.

Oh my goodness. It sounds like we need a lawyer. Sounds like we need a lawyer. And it would be helpful if he was a pilot too, which we will learn as we go through this episode.

Yes, yes, exactly. So I see you have notes there. I do have some notes. I have notes because it's a complicated show.

And you really don't want to forget any key points. We want to bring some things out to our listeners. And like we said, this thing was filmed in 1995. And it amazes me, as you told our listeners, we both have some military experience.

And it amazes me how they got away with saying some of the things that they got away with saying in the show. So as we go through, I'd like to kind of highlight some of those famous quotes that they use. But famous quotes. And the other thing I think is important is context.

You got to go back. Many years, US was involved in Bosnia at the time. So it's very applicable to this episode. Jagged throughout the years did try to stay on top of current events, so to speak, from a military perspective.

So we find ourselves in the context of Bosnia and enforcing no fly zones and all that kind of stuff. Absolutely. So this episode, it introduces us to Harmon, the first time, for the first time. Let me tell you that interesting with him.

I really have to tell the listeners, I thought that the first episode was rough. I'm honestly a huge fan of Jagged. But folks, if you're listening to us for the first time, which I know you are, because this is the first time we've ever done this. But if you watch the first episode, please hang in there.

The series does get so much better, doesn't it? I mean, it just starts out rough. It was rough. Oh, why do you think it was rough?

It was really a train wreck from the moment it started. It really was horrible. What did you like? I mean, OK, from the moment it started.

So, for example. I just thought, well, I mean, let's just go through it. I got these notes here. I'll tell you what, Save the Show is Terry O'Quinn, who I have always loved from Lost, if you watch Lost.

He was a main character in there. But I really loved him in this episode. So let's see. Where does it start out?

I didn't even write where it starts out. 14 July, 1732 hours in the Adriatic Sea. So we're on the aircraft carrier, the Sea Hawk, which is not really an aircraft carrier. We know that.

But CBN65, really the USS Enterprise. Yeah. Well, you don't have to sound like you don't think that's totally cool. Well, I think it's cool.

But I mean, this is a fiction. It's a TV show. So OK, it's a Sea Hawk, great. Enterprise Enterprise, all right.

So as Josh was saying, we find ourselves really with a two ship, a 14 group. The Kagg is out flying. He's got his wingman or his backseat or his Rio radar intercept officer. Right.

She's in the backseat. This is her first time in combat. The Kagg, chief of the air group, I think, is that what that means? Yeah.

Right. He's like in charge of all the flyers on the carrier. Anyway, he's an extremely experienced pilot. Vietnam guy, we learned a little bit more about that later.

But anyway, so he's flying. And it's a two ship, right? So you got two F-14s. They're going into a hostile zone.

All of a sudden, they get fired upon. And the Kagg is like, hey, wingman, I'll take this one myself. And the chick in the backseat's like, sir, what do you think? I mean, why are you telling our wingman to go someplace else?

I thought that was absolutely ridiculous. That was the first total just bonehead. What ridiculous that he sent him elsewhere? Or that the Rio challenges his approach to his situation?

No, I think if you're the backseater, it's your responsibility to check your pilot, make sure that he knows what he's doing. I mean, I don't think she was challenging his authority. I think she was just like, dude, why would we go into combat with one of us instead of two of us? That makes no sense.

Well, I don't know if it makes sense, not being a flyer myself, but I would trust the Kagg. I would trust the Kagg. I mean, the dude's been, he was. Well, ultimately, she did.

Because I think he checked her on that and was like, hey, who's in charge of this thing? And she's like, oh, okay, sir, whatever. I think she was forced to trust him. Because he was going to go one way or the other.

He's going to go. So anyway, they go, she gets, I mean, it really shakes her up. They make it through the mission, okay? But she's kind of a wreck.

And I think that's all that really happens in the year. They come back. To Helen Baxter. Yeah, that was she's.

It was really bad. I didn't even write that one down. He should have. That was a good one.

Oh my gosh. Anyway, well, so I get back. This poor girl is just having a hell of a time, right? So if I'm missing anything, you need to tell me.

Yeah, I'll try. I mean, from what I remember, you've got to spot on so far. Yeah, so anyway, they get back to the ship. She's a mess.

She goes to her, you know, her little room on the ship. And she's got this she wolf of a roommate. No, she, oh. No, it was a she wolf.

This mondo, huge woman, roided out. No, come on. Rightening. She was just big because she liked to lift.

She was enormous. Like the incredible whole because of the white version with breasts. That doesn't make her bad. I didn't like her from the get go.

I didn't like her. And I thought she was a crappy roommate too. Why? I just she defended herself.

Well, she was dead. I mean, anyway, so the two women are talking and the she wolf is like, well, you know, you should go out and get some air. This young lieutenant, we should really give these people names. Lieutenant Arudie was the back cedar, the Rio with a keg when it came back.

She's the woman, stop. So Arudie's like, okay, I'm gonna go get some air. She puts on. She's a little moment in the episode.

If you recall, she puts on her roommate, she wolves jacket. Do you remember that part? Yeah. And goes out on the deck because you know, it's windy and cold and butters.

It was daytime when they came below decks. Now it's suddenly nighttime stormy, dark and stormy night. She's running across the deck during flight operations, which I just don't see that. No reflective gear, no helmet.

That's because of what she was going to do. Well, I mean, take it off when you're safe and announce your presence and we'll wait. They're double flight deck. Well, anyway, so she scurries across this very busy flight deck in this dark and stormy night.

She gets into access into one of their little electronic warfare kind of planes. I don't know. I don't know what. Something that carries passengers.

I had a lot of room. Well, I mean, you don't need a lot of room to do that. But it was a multi passenger type of aircraft that lands on carrier anyway. She gets in and a little hibity-hibity with somebody.

Oh, what now? Hibity-hibity. Well, you know. I'm not clear on what happened.

Well, it's simply when you consummate a relationship. How old are you, Josh? Oh, okay. How many children do you have?

It's that. Sorry. Hibity-hibity. Anyway, so they do that.

And then she leaves back out into the dead of night. She's walking across the carrier. She initially slips. I don't know.

She slips. She's just clinging on to this kind of ladder thing. Oh, that's right. She was pretty strong.

I mean, for having no upper body, she was able to completely act. She went outside. Her nails, you know, on this great thing. And she's a little ladder.

That's what I thought. Well, it wasn't a ladder, but it didn't go anywhere. It went up. That was the stupidest thing you've ever said.

It went up. It goes up. Well, it didn't go down. She was the last run.

You're so stupid, dude. Seriously. Anyway. So she's hanging from herlessly from it's sort of a ladder.

It goes up. I was able to shimmy up and to safety. So we think, oh, the viewer is taking a breath. Because I mean, it was almost this girl's end.

Well, we took a breath too soon because here comes shadow man. And all of a sudden. But at the time, Rudy is cast away. But yeah, at the time, you don't know what's a man, right?

Well, it's a shadow figure. Sort of a presumption. Yeah, it's a figure. Well, I mean, since 99.9%, well, I got 99.9 because she was probably really a dude.

Oh, please. OK. Anyway, most people on camera men. So she goes flying off the deck.

And she goes flying off the deck. And she goes. No, I didn't actually hear her. I didn't hear that part.

Anyway, but you don't know. And you see the shadowy figure, the culprit. Break two, we got to call JAG. We got to figure out.

We get to the bottom of this mystery. Yeah. So this is where they ship back to the headquarters JAG. And you got the admiral.

And you got that lieutenant commander, I think he was. And they're chatting. And this is where I think the series, it happened a couple of times in the episode where they're, I don't know, they're still feeling their way, obviously, being episode one. And in my mind, they weren't, they hadn't figured out do we want to be kind of funny sometimes, you know, with some of our characters and add a little humor here.

And they tried that, they really failed. Yeah, they really failed. Because it was awful. But I could tell they were trying like, I don't know if we should have jokes here and there and make it.

And I think they realized too that their casting wasn't so great. No, they certainly did. When they saw the finished product, I think they were like, yeah, that admiral's got to go. He's fat and lazy.

Yeah. Well, I didn't like him. And then this is what I wanted to ask you that I wanted to save to ask you on the podcast prior to recording is the creepy lawyer who was advising the admiral about the situation. He comes back later.

He does. Does he play the same lawyer that he played in the pilot or does he, is he different? Yeah, no, what happens is he comes back later and he's still in the DC area, still part of the JAG, the people that were in this episode that carry on through the series like harm. Well, he's almost one of the only ones that actually makes it through a whole series.

But he knows exactly who he is, et cetera, et cetera. And this guy turns out to be kind of a bad dude. Yeah, and he's always been creepy. He's always been a little creepy.

He's always been a little self-serving, but he actually does bad things later on the series. That's what I thought. I know this guy. Yeah.

Yeah. So, I mean, this is a big problem at the JAG office and because you got to find out, I mean, they got to send a couple lawyers out in a hurry. They got to get to the Adriatic Sea to get on this carrier to figure out what that's going on. There's not any time it couldn't have sakes.

You can't even pack a bag these days before harm and old girly girl. What do you mean old girly girl? Whoever his sidekick is in this episode. She comes back too.

She's an important character. I actually didn't hate her. I just thought, I don't know. I didn't really like her.

I didn't really like her. Can you talk about harm? Why should we talk about harm? There's a whole ten seasons of box set sitting here where we can talk about harm.

Well, why don't you tell me your thoughts on this girl? I thought she was doing it. She's doing it. So the problem is this is 95, right?

So shifting your mindset back to from the military of today to what it was probably like back then when they're trying to integrate women into combat, integrate women on a carrier, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. She's in this world where they haven't quite finished that process. I think that's why she might come across the way she does in the episode is because she's like, hey, we have everybody to be here too. But she did kind of whore herself out a little bit, I thought.

I mean, she was very flirtatious to men that were flirting with her on the carrier. She was giving her a right back. And I think at a later point in the episode, harm kind of gives her crap for that. Like he's going to come back and collect later.

And so I thought her behavior was just fine. Of course she would. She's just doing what she's got to do to get what she needs done there. And sometimes you got it.

Yeah, I know. But for a show that's trying to break new ground and women in the military and this is just after tail hook, let's talk about how we can be an integrated force and be successful together and work off each other's strengths and weaknesses, this show just failed on that dismissorably. No, it did really good. It did really good.

You fix this radio tape, I'll sleep with you. I don't remember that guy. That's Captain. Actually he's not a Captain.

I'm sorry, going into a different service there. He was a lieutenant that she I think graduated from an Atlas with or something. Anyway, I didn't like her character because of that. I thought she was weak.

No. And so it was cute though. I mean, you know, you got to get the ratings, I guess. Well, she was cute enough that they nixed her right after this episode.

Oh, no. I moved on to a completely different actress. I didn't watch all these. I didn't, I've not watched all these yet.

I'm going episode by episode. Well, this is, I thought. Sometimes you might want to read ahead to the next chapter just a little bit. I think that's cheating.

No. No. Sarah. So in a way, what you think about it kind of doesn't matter because if she's not coming back, well, she does come back actually in a couple of later episodes, but different.

Okay. There's a part that we missed that we need to go back to. It's really short. No, well, you were supposed to remind me of anything.

I missed real quick when the lieutenant gets back from the mission and she's all jacked up in the head and feels like she completely failed her first time in combat. She does get on her little computer, old windows 95 starts rolling and she resigns, types of an email saying she resigns from the Navy. Yep. So I think that was kind of how do you feel about that?

You know, your first combat mission, your, I mean, do you think I think resignation was a little early? I think she, she got swooped and she figured that because of that, she wasn't cut out for it. And it sounded like in the episode because she was the first or one of the first female to get in a cockpit and do a combat mission with the Navy because they were talking about all the interviews. She was doing with the press blah, blah, blah.

And so she couldn't live up to the expectation. I think that's what she's doing. But there is an active duty service commitment here and you can't just quit the military. Well, I mean, it was probably like one of those top gun moments like I no longer have the edge or whatever.

Turn into my rounds. And then that's that. All right. Well, maybe that's it.

So investigation, we'll keep rolling through here. Investigation starts the Admiral back in DC at headquarters of science, Harmon, Rob, Junior, hottest lawyer ever to this case. Ever. Oh, yeah.

Ever. And then a science wants him to go with a young female. The Admiral was specific about this. Wants him to go to a young female.

No, it wasn't young female. I think it was. No, it was just actually on the eyes. Easy on the eyes.

Yes. That's what he said. Easy on the eyes. Well, I can't believe you remembered that.

Of course. Anyway, so harm goes out to the carrier with easy on the eyes girl. They have no luggage. They're in their dress white uniform.

Yeah, that was kind of uniform. You know, I liked it. I'm not going to lie. I realized it would never happen.

I think they must have been at a Christmas party or something and got pulled away. Couldn't have luggage. No time for that. Get on a chopper.

Get out to the Adriatic seat. You're already in your dress whites. Isn't that lovely? And it took them like two days, I think, to finally get uniforms.

Well, so let's connect the dots a little bit here when they, the Admiral and his buddy guy were discussing who to send the Admiral asked where's rap and the other guy said he's at the French embassy or whatever doing something. So he was already in the AO. So perhaps he was already in his dress whites and he did go exactly. Do you have to be in your dress whites?

I don't know. I don't know what he was doing there at the embassy. But anyway, so he would have certainly had time to pack a bag. He didn't even pack a razor.

Well, he had 30 minutes according to the Admiral. He wants them on the plane 30 minutes. Well, that's true. So I don't know what airports had back then.

Maybe they didn't have razors. Well, I'm sure they flew middle air. Anyway, it doesn't matter. They get out to the carrier.

And this girl is just like, oh, how do you spell carrier? It's just so stupid, almost tripping out of the helicopter on the flight deck. Meanwhile, Harm, totally comfortable. I mean, he's reminiscing about days when his pops took him to his first air show and he sat in his first fighter jet when he was just a wee little, little tot.

So cute. Well, we do get, we do get, I mean, if you can bring yourself down from the clouds of worship of Commander Rab, we do get some insight into the history of him because we go through the whole scenario of why he's not flying now, why he's a lawyer and an attorney and not a naval labiator any longer. And it turns out he had an issue with his eyes, had this big crash. Well, it was a night vision thing.

We need to be clear on that. That comes to play later in this episode. Yeah, so a night vision thing and his Rio gets killed in the accident. Oh, it's such a tragic accident.

I mean, they're coming in. This is like Top Gun when the guy loses his edge at the first, you know, first act of the touchdown. It's a little bit like that. It's a little bit like that.

And his backseater is like, hey, Harm, you know, you gotta pull up, dude. You gotta call the ball, man. What the hell's going on? No, no.

And Harm's like itchy, scratchy, my eyes, my eyes, I don't know. I don't know. So I'm jacked up because of an eye infection. You're like, you gotta land the plane on the carrier and you can't do it.

You're comparing eye problems to shooting at Migs that are trying to kill you. There's no comparison. Fine. Did the plane crash upon landing on the carrier?

He didn't land. But he didn't crash in Top Gun, the dude landed the plane, and then he turned in his wings. And he had to turn in his wings. Either way, it's a career ender for both of them.

Is it not? No, no, no. I mean, I can't give back to him. Don't get out of your T-Mids.

But things are coming in. No, I don't give back to him. I don't make a difference. I mean, you can go, you can go sweet floors.

You can mean career like stay in the Navy and be a deck swatter. I mean, be a fighter pilot like that you're done. Yeah. Okay.

So they're not going to be a fighter pilot. Well, so this is that's the harm's whole thing. Yeah, but he had a really one. It was a medical.

Well, but harm as we learn in this episode carries this tremendous amount of guilt about losing his backseater. He gets on the carrier. He's all of his, I would say, colleagues, I guess the folks that he, he knows in the fighter pilot community, they're all shun him. I think the backseater that died in the back of harm's jet is one of the main characters on the, on the carrier.

Is it not Mase's brother was the one that was in the backseat? Yeah. Yeah. So yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. Kind of a dumb call sign, I think, Mase. No, see, I think, so you mentioned Top Gun.

Yeah. And that wasn't entirely horrible, but it was pretty bad. But because I'm going to say ice. They use.

Yes. I think they were my, my advice. Your parallel to Top Gun make perfect sense. But when I try to do it, it's dumb.

It's okay. That's why, you know, I'll bring you along. You have another opportunity to learn from me or big brother. Something I.

So yeah. Yeah. Um, I think Mase was supposed to be basically Iceman from Top Gun and he acted exactly the same. Very arrogant, very cocky.

Well, he had brown hair and ice was blonde. So not the same terrible parallel. I didn't say the same. I said that's what they were intending to do.

I mean, the show stole clips from Top Gun from the battle scenes. So well, it was a tight budget and you're clearly. But anyway, so I think it was some character parallels and you're right. They didn't look down on a poor commander.

Yeah, I felt horrible. Like he had to just he had to earn his, I don't know, he had to earn his respect the whole time during the episode. And I think in the end, we see that he finally gets it. But I mean, he has to go through hell to get it.

So anyway, Mase is the one that gives him crap. Painter is Mase's Rio, his backseater. Painter is important as we go through this episode, which we really need to go through because we're we've got all these rabbit holes that we're going down. Well, here's a year.

Never mind where we girl is dead, a shadow figure we see, but we don't know who it is. Harm and horrible young lawyer chick sidekick cute girl who hoards herself out there, but he doesn't. She doesn't. OK, so let's just cut to the investigation.

Yeah, they do. Investigation and people kind of pop, you know, it's a typical lawyerish type of show where they talk to people and the audience is like, well, I guess it could be maybe that person and then someone then they interview the next person and then we're like, Oh, no, perhaps it is that person. Can we talk about the press guy real quick? Sure.

Yeah. The press guy. Yeah. So they had the press because this woman had already been reported back stateside that this woman was part of this combat mission and she was this heroin.

And so of course, the media wants to come out and interview her first female in that kind of a situation, I suppose. But alas, she's dead. So I mean, you can't interview a dead woman. You don't really want to tell the press that she's dead.

Luckily, it's only one reporter harm happens to know him from previous days in the Navy. And anyway, so harm convinces this guy, hey, you know, you got to sit on the story for 12 hours because the chick's missing and that was hokey, but we won't even talk. I mean, I was. You were craving ice cream.

Dude, a whole bucket of ice cream. Well, it was dumb. It was strong. And that's a little empty who was just doing his job trying to keep the guys sequestered.

Yeah. It was just it was a whole it didn't even be written into the story. It added nothing for me. I I thought it was fine.

I mean, I do some things for ice cream. Anyway, well, it worked because because the guy, this press guy is like, look, I got to break the story, man. Where's this girl? I got to do this interview harm says, look, we can't find her.

You can fly on a combat mission into Bosnia. If you sit on the story, and I'll get you a couple rides. Yeah. So the guy gets a ride, which I thought was completely cheesy with the Kagg nothing.

Nothing is happening. They're not getting attacked or anything. And the little press guys in the backseat of this F 14 is like, oh, you know, it's too bad. I would love to experience what Lieutenant Arudie experienced when she was in your backseat.

And not that backseat folks were still in the plane. And so the Kagg, you know, he's kind of a smart ass guy and he he simulates exactly what happened makes the poor guy sick in the back. And it's just, I don't know, I think it was a time filler for the episode, but I thought worthy to bring up in this podcast for some reason. Yeah, no, it's fine.

I think I agree with you. It was kind of a kind of a time filler, but on the other hand, it does show that hey, these things happen in the military. They press does get flights and they're not into combat. No, that's true.

I mean, really, it was terrible. I can tell you I have been in the air in the air force. I would say for a long, long time and a really long time. And it took me a long time to get any kind of a ride in the back of a fighter jet.

It's not something that I have ever seen the press do certainly in combat, but I digress. So where are we? We're we're we're harm and his little sidekick or girl are in. No, don't call her that she's a Harvard long grad.

She even says so in the episode and she's fine. She's she's outnumbered. As you've said, many times, 99% of the people are guys probably going to have a baby in nine months, but she's been banging the whole crew. She hasn't.

She hasn't get information. Although the information that she does garner is helpful. It is. It is.

Yeah, she gets the the radio calls from she gets. Oh, yeah. That's one she's good at is the whole tech stuff. Well, she's not good at it.

You didn't have an iPhone. Well, they didn't even have those anyway. Um, yeah. So she does get the the cockpit voice recorder.

She hears how the Kagg is treating this young lieutenant and she's like, the Kagg did it. I mean, he had to. I mean, this poor girl's under stress. The Kagg forced her to go in a combat with just the two of them.

They could have had a second ship with them. They didn't jack her up in the head. Uh, it had to be him. Well, it's not necessarily the Kagg is it.

I mean, there's a there's an episode goes along. There's several other people that we think it might be. I actually thought it was she wolf. I thought it was a jealousy thing.

I really I think when I first first thought it was maybe her as well. Um, but it turns out it wasn't. So no, you know, I mean, should we just to just tell them what it is. So spoiler alert.

Well, from 1995. So what it is, what it is. Is so backseat or lieutenant Arudy is actually married to painter, who's mace's backseater. Yeah.

I hope that's not too, but they can't tell anybody. I'm married. But could you come be stationed? So this was a hokey part of the episode was I actually thought this one reflected real life.

Okay. Well, continue then. And I just did because I mean, in the military, you want to be with your husband, but there's those who'll join spouse things. So you can't be together on a carrier.

Yeah. Why not be married and not telling you. But so I get that. But what I don't get is his wife just got killed and he still fly emissions and going to briefings and doing anything else.

I'm like, really? Your wife just got murdered, basically, and you're carrying on. You wouldn't come out at some point and say, uh, she was my wife. You know what I mean?

Well, was it, was it him that told the female lawyer girl? Was it, wasn't it painter who said, you know, we're married or was it a buddy of his? Can't even remember. But anyway, it does come out.

Yeah, it does come out in the episode. Um, so actually at the end of the day, it was kind of stupid who killed her. I thought. Oh, I mean, what we find out, what we find out is that when Lieutenant Arudy was taking a walk to go visit her husband in the plane in the storm on the dark and stormy night, she was wearing her roommates leather jacket and it said low bow on the back and she's found, you know, two days later by these fishermen.

And she looks perfect, by the way, perfect skin. For being in the sea. I mean, it's just beautiful. You think she'd be covered in seaweed and fish would have eaten pieces of her.

No, I don't know. I mean, two days. It's a couple of days. No, her skin would have fallen off.

I don't know. I don't know. She looked gorgeous there on the Emmy's table. Anyway, not really, but she was pretty.

No, she did a good job, but not gorgeous. That's kind of an odd way to talk about. Well, I was trying to be complimentary. You don't want me calling everybody whores.

Well, I don't want you to only dead people gorgeous. Well, OK, anyway, so now you just threw me off my group with that thing. She was wearing her roommates jacket. Ultimately, we find out that the guy who killed Lieutenant Arudy thought Lieutenant Arudy was she wolf because Lieutenant Arudy was wearing she wolves jacket.

Yeah, at the time. I don't know what happened to her jacket. I don't think she had one. Well, everyone has one.

Well, you know, they don't make jackets like that anymore. I'm so cool with a little wolf on the back. You had a wolf on the back. And she will.

Anyway, so the person who murdered Lieutenant Arudy clearly thought me is dark and stormy thinks that the person is she wolf mistakenly kills the wrong person. And we find out that it was really all due to a horrible weightlifting competition. Yeah, a horrible weightlifting competition gone wrong. The first episode of Jack.

She will wins the power lift bench press competition. And so the guy wants to throw off the boat and some random guy who were never ever played any kind of part in the episode. Well, except for the fact that he lost the competition and seemed a little mad about it. But yeah, so they pulled the whole episode around a murder that was kind of it was Johnny from the gym.

Yeah, it was like, OK. All right, so so that kind of gets cleared up. But then there's a mission, right? And Kagg's like.

Will you fly with me? Yeah, no, no, he was like. I need someone in the back, but I can't take someone so and arms like all fly with you, sir. Yeah, that was very tough.

Gunish, very tough. Yeah, except a little bit different because in Top Gun, it's Tom Scariot, old guy flying with the youngster in this one. It's the youngster flying with the Kagg either way, into combat. They go sort of an opposite thing again, though, leveraging the baseline of the thrilling top gun.

It was. Yeah, it was. So into combat they go and this is actually no BS man. I mean, they're getting their Santa aircraft.

I are coming out and pretty good. They're doing the eight hours vision to map out where all the bad guys are before the bombers come in and do their thing. Oh, it's a big deal. And I think again, were they alone?

I don't know. They have a man because she was there. We have course. Yeah, she's a good pilot.

First you've been in so much less. So anyway, yeah, so they fly through and that their play gets hit. I mean, bad. No, they fly through once and they're fine.

Yeah, but then the stupid there we go to the Kaggle Quinn again is the Kaggle. We're going to go again and go through the gamut again. But arms like, hey, is this like what it was like in Vietnam? Yeah, that's right.

Yeah, they know we're coming back. Yep. She's but nonetheless, they fly through. Sure enough, it's bad.

Sure enough. The plane gets shot up. Kaggle is unresponsive bleeding from the face and harm. It's dark too.

So no harm has this night vision issue, which made him be a lawyer instead of a fighter pilot. And and here he is. He's got to get this plane back. And so he's nearing turns around.

He's nearing the aircraft carrier in the dead of night. She wolf is like dude, I'm landing before you because I got to get on the ship before you turn back. But she guides him back. She's actually good.

I didn't fly with her. I would actually. I would. Yeah.

I would anyway. So she lands and everybody's like holding their breath. What are we going to do? The Kaggle calls the captain of the not the Kaggle air boss calls the captain of the carrier.

And he's like, I don't know. I don't know if we should let this guy. I mean, yeah. I mean, we know he's got a night vision problem.

Yep. The plane is not 100%. Do we let him land? Do we not?

And the captain says, let him land. And always I don't think he wanted to lose the Kaggle. He trusted harm could probably pull it off even though prior to the flight harm said I haven't flown in five years. So he's not checked out on really anything.

And all his currencies would be completely gone. Yeah, somehow he winds up in a combat situation with busted up and things have happened. Well, stranger things. Yes, maybe have happened, but that's really strange.

And another little footnote and this is a thanks to Amazon Prime's little facts on the episode is that apparently F 14s don't have controls in the rear seat. So there's no way in reality that this scenario could have gone down quite like this because harm is that really true? That's what it said. Yeah.

No controls in the back. So the only option for the real was to punch if something happened to the pilot. Terrible. Anyway, so let's put ourselves in the hypothetical situation.

Let's do. There happened to be controls there just like there happened to be a lawyer in the back seat of a combat mission. Well, that was believable. So there we go.

So anyway, the captain of the Seahawks says, yeah, bring it in harm. Let's do it. So harm, he's he's on his entry. He's the same things going through his head called the ball.

It's a little bit blurry. I don't know if that's because it was not Blu-ray quality or if it really was. Maybe it's when she almost cracked or that. I oh possibly because they did just come out of combat.

I didn't notice that, but I'll give you a partial credit for it because it's probably true. Anyway, highly tense situation. Boom. He lands.

He catches on the first the first catch. I suppose the first cable that you're supposed to know. Yeah, it was. No, no, no, no, no.

So you're not supposed to catch on the first cable if I understand carrier landing, right? Really? Because you know everything about the name. Yeah.

Well, so you catch the first one. No, you don't catch the first one. You're sort of in the middle somewhere, I think, is where you want to be. No, I would think you'd want to have every opportunity.
