Ugiidatli (Sicklefin Redhorse): A Cherokee Perspective

The Cherokee people call this large southeastern fish Ugiidatli ("wears/has a feather"). Redhorses, including the Sicklefin, are also sometimes referred to as the "salmon of the south" due to their spawning migrations, size, and importance.
