The Apostle Paul wrote... 1 Corinthians 12:1 TPT - 1 My fellow believers, I don’t want you to be confused about spiritual realities. The Holy Spirit was promised by Joel and Jesus. It was a promise for anybodies and everybodies. The promise was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost. Joel 2:28-29 NLT - “Then, after doing all those things, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on servants—men and women alike.” Acts 1:8 NIV - But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” The baptism of the Spirit empowers us to live bold lives that point people back to Jesus. Jesus said, “If you ask you shall receive.” Have you asked God for a baptism of His Holy Spirit? If not, what are you waiting for? Ask God to fill you to overflowing so that your love can overflow into the lives of those God’s placed around you.
