In 2001 verschijnt Dave Mossing zo ongeveer uit het niets in de finale van ‘de Sterkste Man van Nederland’. Hij duikt opeens op, per ongeluk lijkt het wel. In 2005 wordt hij zelfs tweede na een krachtmeting met Jarno Hams en Edwin Hakvoort. Dave komt op eigen kracht tussen die sterke mannen te staan; geen vader die hem naar judo bracht of moeder die speciaal calorierijk eten voor hem maakte. Hij komt uit een heel ander gezin. Wat motiveerde hem zijn lichaam af te beulen om zo ver te komen? Welk drama drijft hem tot aan de grenzen van het ondraaglijke en daar overheen?  Een radiodocumentaire van Heleen Hummelen over de geschiedenis van Dave Mossing en zijn familie.
