Russian tanks rolling down highways, missiles raining down on cities, and soldiers readying for battle have dominated the “For You” feeds of TikTok users this week, as the war in Ukraine becomes the first major conflict documented on the social media app. A long-predicted nursing shortage has hospitals across the country scrambling to find staff and businesses are stepping up to fill the gap (and pull open some purse strings). The EU, UK, US, and Canada announced a new round of economic sanctions in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Celebrating something?
