And arguably, no two countries know this better than Ukraine and Israel.This 4-part series explores how both of these countries have honoured the other with their respective currencies.In this final episode, Part 4, we meet three prominent Jews depicted on the Ukraine's coins, as well as a 16th century synagogue, and a historic banknote from 1917 which honoured the Yiddish language.Part 1 covered the historical background of the currencies of both Ukraine and Israel, including the ancient roots of both as well as the obstacles encountered and overcome over the course of the two countries respective journeys to statehood and sovereignty.
