Ukrainian Jewish Heritage: Felshtin Society to commemorate centenary of 1919 pogrom

On April 14, 2019 the Felshtin Society will hold commemorative events to mark the centenary of the pogrom that took place in the Ukrainian shtetl of Felshtin (now the town of Hvardiiske, Ukraine). In 1919, 600 Jews perished in that brutal pogrom. The events will take place in New York.We first learned about the Felshtin Society last March (2018), when we spoke with the Society's president, Alan Bernstein.
