Ulysses Episode 12 - Cyclops Part 3
from The James Joyce Library Hosted by James Joyce
In which a lively and somewhat disordered gathering of Dublin citizens unravels tales of legal troubles, local politics, and sporting rivalries amid the clangour of public houses and courtrooms, punctuated by spirited debates on ancient Gaelic culture and the merits of physical exercise. The evening ripples with interjections of jocularity, poignant sympathy, and cantankerous reflections on justice and national identity, all set against the murmuring backdrop of a city rebuilding its pride.
