Formado pela ESALQ-USP em 1966, Chukichi Kurozawa é um renomado engenheiro agrônomo com mestrado e doutorado em Fitopatologia pela mesma instituição. Atuou como professor titular na Faculdade de Ciências Agronômicas da Unesp/Botucatu por mais de 30 anos, sendo responsável pela disciplina de Fitopatologia no curso de Agronomia. Orientou cerca de 50 alunos de graduação e 30 na pós-graduação, publicou numerosos artigos e lançou três variedades de tomate. Recebeu, após a sua aposentadoria, o título de Professor Emérito da Faculdade de Ciências Agronômicas/UNESP/Botucatu em 2008. Desde 1999, é consultor técnico do programa Globo Rural, responsável por toda área de agronomia e responde também às dúvidas dos telespectadores sobre identificação das plantas. Também foi consultor técnico da empresa BASF e referência no manejo de doenças de plantas, principalmente nas áreas de hortaliças e frutíferas. Tem mais de 50 anos de experiência e contribuição para o agro nacional, sendo reconhecido e respeitado por seus colegas e admiradores. Possui uma vasta experiência e conhecimento em diversas áreas e segmentos da agricultura brasileira e mundial. É um dos nomes conhecidos do público que acompanha o Globo Rural, sendo um dos conhecedores e experientes consultores agrícolas do Brasil.
