UMass Ends Historic Losing Streak | Rutgers Scarlet News

UMass Minutemen shatter a 24-game losing streak with a dominant 37-21 win over Rutgers — their first-ever victory against a Power Five team. Quarterback William “Pop” Watson III dazzled with 189 yards and 3 TDs, while Coach Joe Harasymiak’s rebuilding efforts finally pay off. After years of struggle since moving to FBS in 2012, this win marks a turning point — setting the stage for their first conference title game and possibly their first bowl appearance ever.
