UMass Men's Basketball Season Ends in MAC Semis

UMass Mens Basketball Season Ends in MAC Tournament Semifinals: Shooting Woes Doom Minutemen Against Toledos Defense The Massachusetts mens basketball teams season came to an end in the Mid-American Conference tournament semifinals with a loss to Toledo. UMass finished the season with a 17-16 record, 7-11 in conference play, while Toledo improved to 19-14, 11-7 in the MAC. The Minutemen struggled to mount a comeback against Toledos strong defense, particularly from beyond the arc. UMass, known for its three-point shooting, managed just four out of twenty-one from deep, with coaches citing this as the main issue in the loss. Toledo focused on shutting down UMasss top scorer, Marcus Banks Junior, with constant pressure, limiting his effectiveness and preventing other players from finding their shooting rhythm.
