Umay The PhantomElectricGhost Interview 2021 Bio: Umay is a Turkish-British singer songwriter who writes songs to tell stories inspired by love, friendship, adventure and imagination. Umay treats her songwriting as a mix between storytelling and journaling. She is currently working on a new project titled ‘Those Were The Days’; an EP of 7 songs that each tell a story about memories and nostalgia, both the good and the bad. The second single ‘Cure for Loneliness’ is a song inspired by the grey British winters, medieval tales, and how we can never know the full story of a life as outsiders.
