UMBC Stuns Virginia in Upset Basketball Win

On November 14th, UMBC womens basketball team triumphed over Virginia, 61-56, at John Paul Jones Arena. UMBC improved to 2-1, while Virginia also stands at 2-1. Breona Hurd led Virginia with 22 points, but UMBCs Heidi Williams, Gabby Scott, and Carmen Yanez combined for 39 points. Virginia struggled with shooting, making only 19 of 59 field goals (32.2%) and no 3-pointers. Kymora Johnson scored 4 points on 1-16 shooting.
