UN registers more cases of abuse by its peacekeepers in the DRC

The United Nations says it has registered eighteen alleged cases of sexual abuse and exploitation by its peacekeepers and civilian personnel in the Democratic Republic of the Congo last year. Some incidents relate to events that date back as far as 2013. The United Nations Mission in the DRC otherwise known as MONUSCO has nearly 17-thousand-500 troops and police serving in the country, its biggest mission.
