The United Nation's Secretary General-designate Antonio Guterres says he will make human dignity the core of his work at the helm of the organisation. In his maiden address to the General Assembly after member states endorsed the Security Council recommendation to appoint him, the former Portuguese Prime Minister and High Commissioner for Refugees expressed his humility and gratitude for the confidence placed in him by all one-hundred-and-ninety-three member states of the organisation.
