Unable to Resist
from The Narthex Hosted by The Narthex
Welcome to another episode of the Narthex, a podcast designed for those on the cusp of faith, grappling with doubts, uncertainties, or trying to establish a relationship with Christ. In this episode, we discuss the struggles that come with resisting temptation and how our self-salvation operating system often fails us in daily life. We explore the story of Jesus' temptation in the wilderness, emphasizing the importance of relying on God's word as our foundation. By examining how Jesus resisted the devil by quoting scripture, we learn the significance of grounding our identity in what God says about us rather than in our own efforts or failures. We discuss how God's word can rehabilitate our hearts and steer us away from despair and unbelief. This episode is a powerful reminder that our true identity is defined by God's love and grace, not by our past mistakes or the voices of the world. Join us as we navigate the complexities of faith and temptation, and discover the strength that comes from grounding ourselves in the eternal truth of God's word.
