Unbearable Times

from Quiet In The Night · host Bill Scot

There are moments in life when the weight of sorrow, fear, or uncertainty feels unbearable. The pain is too deep, the burden too heavy, and hope seems distant. In these times, we may wonder where God is or if He even sees our suffering. Yet, Scripture reminds us that even in the darkest valleys, we are not alone. Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." God does not abandon us in our pain; He draws near, offering comfort and strength. Jesus Himself experienced unbearable moments—Gethsemane's agony, the betrayal of friends, the suffering of the cross. He understands our pain, and He walks with us through it. When we can't take another step, He carries us. In unbearable times, hold on to His promises. Cry out to Him, rest in His presence, and trust that He is working even when we don't see it. The night may feel endless, but morning will come. His grace is enough for today, and His love will sustain you through every trial. You are not alone. He is near. And He will see you through.
