Unbreakabattle Royale

Battle Royale (2000) Vs. Unbreakable (2000) The category for today's Battle episode is "In The Year 2000". In true Modern Classics form we visit the year it all began. The year that makes a podcast about films released form the year 2000 to the present possible. And we begin the journey into this most prescient of times with Battle Royale. An ass kicker of a movie that spawned a new genre and a little known series called The Hunger Games. Then we breakdown the M. Night Shamaylan hit Unbreakable. A film that paints a more realistic version of comic book cinema (or does it?) . Join us as we review, rate, and debate these two modern cinematic spectacles. And remember if either film score 10 or more combined stars it will be inducted onto the Modern Classics Greatest films of the 21st Century List. WARNING; This episode contains criticism of M. Night Shamaylan's filmography. It is not recommended for those with bones made of glass or any other hyper sensitivity to the M. Night catalogue.
