UNC Alum Arrested for Campus Assault | Durham News

A UNC alum, Keegan Carlisle Wilson, 45, has been arrested after allegedly crashing a “Love Island” watch party, hurling slurs, making threats, and turning violent with students. He was involuntarily committed to a mental hospital that night, reportedly due to untreated bipolar disorder. Now facing misdemeanor charges including disorderly conduct and simple assault — with accusations of chasing students with a homemade flamethrower and sharp object — he’s been set on $10K bond with strict conditions: no campus access and no contact with victims. This isn’t his first brush with the law this August, as he also faces charges for breaking into a home and violating a domestic violence order against his adoptive mother. Despite prior incidents, the judge noted his lack of significant criminal history, with a hearing scheduled for September 23rd.
