UNC Asheville Basketball Players Honored

UNC Ashevilles mens basketball team had an impressive week as five players received All-Conference honors from the Big South Conference. Kameron Taylor led the way with First Team recognition, followed by Toyaz Solomon on Second Team. Freshmen Myles Mayfield and Daniel Thomas made the All-Freshman Team, while DJ Patrick earned All-Academic honors. Taylor, the teams leading scorer, had a standout season with career-high 35 points in the finale. Solomon, a three-year veteran, became just the third player in program history to reach 1000 points, 500 rebounds, 100 blocks, and 100 assists. Mayfield and Thomas provided depth, with Mayfield earning Freshman of the Week twice. Patrick maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA and led the conference in minutes played. The Bulldogs, seeded fourth, begin their tournament run on Friday against Longwood. Support the show Get a discount at https://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
