UNC Asheville Stars Shine Academically | UNC Asheville Bulldogs Basketball News

UNC Asheville’s men’s basketball team just shattered its own record, with five student-athletes—Brayden Rivers, Connor Dubsky, Daniel Thomas, DJ Patrick, and Jakel Powell—named to the prestigious NABC Honors Court for the 2025-26 academic year. These standout players, all juniors, seniors, or grad students, earned the honor for maintaining a 3.2 GPA or higher, joining over 2,300 top-tier student-athletes nationwide. The NABC’s Craig Robinson praised their academic grit, reinforcing that excellence on the court and in the classroom go hand in hand. With the 2026-27 season looming, fans can secure tickets now at UNCABulldogs.com/tickets—because when athletes dominate both arenas, it’s worth cheering for.
