We see the X-Men battle Magneto inside a volcano base, Magneto gets his ultimate revenge and reduces their capabilities to that of a baby, and the X-Men eventually escape — but accidentally cause the eruption of the volcano. Jean and Beast get split from the rest of the team and both sides presume that the others are dead.
