Uncle Wiggily and Peetie is a short story following Uncle Wiggily, an old gentleman rabbit still searching for his fortune, who digs a hole near an old stump hoping to strike gold — only to find himself trapped underground with a skillery-scalery alligator blocking his escape. With his grasshopper companion too small to fight, and the alligator grinning from ear to ear, things look grim.
