Uncle Wiggily and the Kittens is a charming short story in which the kind rabbit gentleman Uncle Wiggily sets off through the woods after accidentally smashing his glasses. Nearly blind without them, he mistakes stumps for neighbors and stones for friends — until he spots fuzzy shapes perched on a bush and becomes convinced a dog has frightened a cluster of kittens into the branches.
