Uncle Wiggily and the Parrot is a short story following Uncle Wiggily, an elderly rabbit with rheumatism, as he sets out one morning alongside a pony and a lame squirrel boy. On his way back through the woods, he discovers a cheerful green parrot perched in a butternut tree, singing a sailor's song.
