Uncle Wiggily and the Watermelon | Animal Stories

This story follows the elderly rabbit Uncle Wiggily on his quest for fortune, where after a brief chat with a slow snail, he finds a large watermelon on a hill, initially mistaking it for a football. A friendly grasshopper corrects him, and after they eat the juicy inside, the grasshopper cleverly helps Uncle Wiggily hide within the hollowed rind to escape an approaching hungry bear.
